How to Start a Cult in Bitlife
Building your community in BitLife begins with a bit of expense, as players need to pay $5 in real life to get their hands on the Cult Expansion Pack. Once that’s done, you have to pick a commune. This is where your cult members will reside. To do so, head to the Activities Tab, locate Commune, and you’ll see a list of plots you can buy.
The location you pick for your commune is essential. Each area has an Appeal Bar. The higher it is, the higher the attraction of potential community members. You can pay for a commune via cash or mortgage. Unlike real life, a mortgage isn’t that bad of an option because your character will have monthly and annual membership fees through which you can pay off the property.
Doctrine Selection
After purchasing a commune, you’ll decide the doctrine for your cult. Consider Doctrine as an introduction, where you get to name your cult and have a philosophy, a set of rules, and views. The doctrine consists of three questions of varying natures. Once that’s done, you’ve officially created your cult and started to attract followers.
There is a loyalty meter that shows you how much your cult members buy into your philosophy and viewpoints. You also receive annual stats about your cult, with a brief description of the followers you’ve amassed, their loyalty to your clan, and the revenue you’ve generated through the membership fees.
How to Increase the Loyalty Meter
The loyalty meter is an essential factor in determining the success rate of your cult. The more loyal your cult members are, the easier it is to spread your philosophy and potential outsiders to join in.
You can conduct various community activities to increase your clan's loyalty meter, including Teaching, Conducting Ceremonies, and Outreach Missions. These help build engagement within your commune, increasing members’ loyalty to your philosophy and cult.
