Biomutant gives players a brand new open-world RPG to dive into. THQ Nordic went all out with its inclusion of combat styles in the game, ranging from melee and close combat to shooting. Of course, the only thing better than using only one melee weapon or handgun at a time is using two, and Biomutant manages to scratch that itch by allowing players the ability to dual wield.

This skill isn't made obvious to players right away, and even then, some might have to do a little grinding for skill points to fully customize their builds. Still, dual-wielding is a hard thing to pass on, especially with the number of enemies to be fought against in the world of Biomutant. If not adding on numerous bio-mechanical attachments that invoke the likes of Cyberpunk 2077, this might be the next best thing.

How To Dual Wield in Biomutant

For those who are absolutely sure they want to start off as a dual-wielding ninja-like warrior, one of the classes starts off with the skill innately. That class is the Saboteur, naturally gifted in melee combat. The Mercenary the only other class that does so, though that one requires DLC from a pre-order bonus.

That aside, all players still have access to the skill if they happen to favor other classes, particularly those that are long-range focused. For example, Commando and Dead-Eye-class users might find that dual-wielding one-handed guns are an awesome alternative to the other rifles and shotguns in-game. Melee classes have a similar skill as well and though they don't require any skill points to unlock, using special skills for particular weapons does, so it's not a bad idea to have a few stocked up.

Either way, dual-wielding starts with navigating to the character menu, followed by the Wung-Fu menu. Under close combat, players will see Dual Wield Melee as a sub-menu. The first skill under this menu is called Twin Silver Grip, which allows one to equip two different one-handed melee weapons. For ranged classes, it starts with ranged combat, followed by Dual Wield Guns. Two-Faced Cobra Grip does the same as its sister skill, allowing one to equip two different one-handed guns.

Dual-wielding is only one of many things players should know before starting Biomutant. There's no telling how insane a build focused around one of these skills can get, and it won't be long before players begin exploring every combat option available.

BioMutant releases May 25 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
