PUBG has become synonymous with the battle royale genre ever since its release. Thanks to its intense gameplay and excellent graphics, the game is loved by millions of gamers of all ages. It puts 100 players on a shrinking map where they find weapons and equipment and kill other enemies.

The action-adventure video game allows players to team up with their pals and have the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner together. But what if players want to team up with their friends from a different region? Given the global fanbase of PUBG, the game allows players to change their servers to ensure smooth gameplay. In addition, they can also change servers to find one with lower ping, resulting in enhanced responsiveness. However, switching to a different server in PUBG is not as simple as it used to be. Therefore, this guide will help players change servers in PUBG.

How to Change Servers in PUBG

  • Launch PUBG and click the ‘Arrow’ icon next to ‘Inventory’ at the bottom right corner of the lobby and choose ‘Settings.’
  • Here, players will see the ‘Select Server’ option under the ‘Account’ section.
  • Click the ‘Arrow’ icon to view all available servers and choose the desired server. Players will also be able to see each server’s ping here, so consider choosing one with a low ping. The lower the ping, the smoother the gameplay.
  • Once players have chosen their desired server, they will need to confirm the decision by clicking ‘Ok.’

In the past, players could change the server at will. However, the option is now available only once every 60 days, so players will have to wait for 60 days before they can change it again. It is pertinent to mention that players don’t have the option of changing the server when playing in rooms. Therefore, they may experience high ping in room matches if the owner has chosen a different server.
