The following article contains spoilers for Better Call Saul season 6After a giant time jump, Better Call Saul seems bound to give fans the cameos they’ve been waiting for in its final season soon enough, as next week’s episode title all but confirms the series will focus on the Saul Goodman that won over Breaking Bad fans years ago.

Earlier this year, even before the first part of Better Call Saul season 6 had premiered, fans received the good news that both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul would be reprising their roles for some special cameos, thus also confirming the show would swing by the peak of Saul Goodman's practice, in between his days as Jimmy McGill and the undercover persona of Gene Takovic. While the actual nature of these cameos has not been specified, Cranston did say each character filmed a solo scene plus one of the two together, though how that footage will end up being used he claims to have no idea.

Now, the title and description for the upcoming eleventh episode of Better Call Saul season 6 will surely explain what Bob Odenkirk will be up to. After all, there’s really not much room for guessing what an episode named "Breaking Bad" will be centered on. As if that wasn’t enough, the brief synopsis released along with the title simply says, “The Partners escalate their enterprise to new levels,” which does hint at Walt and Jesse being introduced in the lead-up or close to their first meeting with their eccentric attorney.

Is it possible that Walt and Jesse won’t actually return in episode 11 and fans will have to wait a bit longer? Absolutely. Nevertheless, with only three episodes remaining out of the grand total of 13 planned for the show’s closing chapter, it’s not like there’s much time left for the Breaking Bad protagonist to pop up later. Plus, Cranston has talked about the lengths the producers went to in order to keep his and Paul's return a secret, so fans are expecting an important appearance from the duo and are likely to become anxious if they have to wait another week longer.

Better Call Saul's last two episodes, as well as the two that preceded them, have been incredibly impactful for the series, as they closed all the pending character arcs from the prequel. With all the best newcomers from Better Call Saul gone, all that’s left is adding some extra scenes to Saul's role in Breaking Bad and giving Gene the kind of closure Walt and Jesse eventually had.

It’s incredibly rare for prequel stories to do particularly well - even Star Wars had a tough time - and the same appears to be the case for Amazon's Lord of the Rings series. In Better Call Saul's case, it’s safe to say it does the original justice, just like Saul would like it.

Better Call Saul airs on Mondays on AMC at 9:00 p.m. EST.
