Bethesda is one of the biggest developers and publishers in the world, largely known for the Elder Scrolls and modern Fallout games. Along with its roster of successful RPGs, the company also owns id Software, the creators of Doom and Quake. Every year, a special event called QuakeCon, run by Bethesda's parent company ZeniMax, is held for lovers of contemporary and classic first-person shooters. Although QuakeCon 2022 is an online only event, that doesn't mean there won't be a lot of interesting content to watch. To go along with this, the Skyrim developer has discounted a ton of games.

To celebrate the digital convention, there is currently a Steam sale going on where gamers can opt for a slew of Bethesda titles at up to 70% off. This means that all the Elder Scrolls entries are currently going for cheap, including both Redguard and Battlespire. There's also the chance to get hold of some Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas DLC, such as Operation: Anchorage, Broken Steel, and Lonesome Road. If that wasn't enough, Deathloop, as well as the Prey and Dishonored games, are also included in the sale.

As mentioned above, Bethesda owns id, which means some classic games have been discounted too. Such beloved shooters like the aforementioned Doom and Quake, which are considered the most influential FPS games ever, are available along with other retro titles like Heretic and Hexen. Essentially, for anyone familiar with Bethesda's work, there are opportunities to dive into some modern and old-school first-person shooting while QuakeCon is running. Those who wish to watch the event can do so starting August 18 at 1 PM ET. The link to the stream is at the end of this article.

It's not just Steam games that are on sale, either, because Bethesda is discounting Nintendo Switch games too. Similar to PC, Nintendo fans can pick up the Doom games, including Doom 64 and the 2016 reboot, for less than their list price. There is also a bundle collection which would typically retail for $49.99, but can be picked up during the sale for just $12.49.

As well as all these games being discounted, Steam recently made purchasing id Software games easier by amalgamating Doom and Quake into bundles. With QuakeCon due to kick off on August 18 and going through Saturday, August 20, gamers can celebrate the world of classic and modern first-person shooters published or developed by Bethesda, along with purchasing a bunch of games for cheap.
