Playing as an alien causing chaos on earth is always a feat of its own, not only is easy to do, but it's pretty fun as well. The Destroy All Humans franchise is just that, by giving players simple mechanics, which makes the game enjoyable for all sorts of players. However, Destroy All Humans is rather underrated and that is really unfortunate because the games are unique, and a huge time sink, so there's a lot going on. The best part about Destroy All Humans is that it does not take itself seriously, this allows the game to be something more and gives the players a chance to do crazy over the top things, that most other games wouldn't.

The good news for new players and even old ones is that Destroy All Humans 2 has a remake, in the form of Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed. Hopefully, with the release of this remaster, players will finally get other PS2 games remade that made that generation great. On top of playing as a powerful alien, players will get some interesting weapons that make everything so much fun. This list will break down the best ones available, and how they can help Crypto on his quest.

5 Anal Probe

This was a fan favorite from the first game, where players would target a human and the target would be in the weapon's namesake. However, in Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed, this weapon acts a little differently but still will give players the same results. The main difference is that unlike in the first game, Destroy All Humans, it takes ammo rather than just being charged. The reason why this iconic weapon is at the start of this list is because of its applications.

There's a lot for players to do with it, but just for humans, or infected ones. For other enemy types, the Anal Probe is rather useless, so it's a good idea for players to just target humans with it. When humans become infected they turn into Blisks, who are still weak to the Anal Probe, provided their shields are down. But if players going up against bigger enemies are vehicles, they should use something else, because it won't work for them. The Anal Probe is still effective in what it can do, from killing humans to getting the Blisk spores out of them, there's still a lot for what it is.

4 Zap O Matic

What made the remake of the first Destroy All Humans one of the best remakes on the PS2, is how all over the place it was in terms of how players fought and did the missions. A large portion of that came from the weapons. The Zap O Matic is a good example of that, first, if human targets are close to one another, players can attack one target, and the Zap O Matic will chain the attack causing the other targets to go down. And second, it can be upgraded to chain attacks to make it hit more targets at once.

However, the main issue with the Zap O Matic, like the Anal Probe, is its only good against humans. Other enemy types or vehicles won't get hurt by this it. But, what players should note is that in Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed, the range has a role in the combat. The Zap O Matic allows players to zap numerous enemies at a distance, which makes things a lot easier for them.

3 Disintegrator Ray

Another reason why the first game was so loved by its fans, is because of the wide variety of places the game took players. One of the coolest parts about Destroy All Humans was going into Area 51 and armed with a Disintegrator Ray made everything pretty easy. There are many reasons why it was a fan favorite in the first game. It would cause enemies to turn into molten magma which would be useful against the harder-to-hit enemies.

In Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed, the case is still very much the same. However, this is a pretty good weapon to have because it's a well-balanced type of gun that works in most situations. But the place where this weapon shines is that Area of Effect (AoE), which is closed spaces, since its upgrades are useful for this area, players can be in control most of the time. The only issue that players will find, is that the Disintegrator Ray eats a lot of ammo, so they should be careful when using this weapon against a big number of enemies. However, it can be upgraded, so the AoE does more with less ammo, so there's a trade-off.

2 Dislocator

This is weapon players need to try out at least once. Not only does it help create breathing for them, but it also helps players control the fights they get into. The Dislocator is something of a unique weapon in Crypto's arsenal because it fires discs out. The Dislocator allows players to fight more aggressively because the discs they launch at enemies throw them off, making it easy for players to do follow-up attacks. At the base level, the weapon is still powerful, because the discs that are launched, go in various different directions forcing enemies to flee.

This forces them to get some distance between them and the player. On top of that, the Dislocator upgrades are important, meaning players can have up to 4 discs launched at once, this comes in handy when they're going up against stronger enemies. Also, players will be pleased to find out this weapon is great against other nonhuman enemy types as well, making it a must for them to have.

1 Burrow Beast

destroy all humans crpyto running away after using burrow beast

Probably one of the strongest weapons players can get their hands on in Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed. This weapon doesn't do any damage itself, but what it brings to the field is unmatched, and terrifying for enemies. Players can send out a lure over an enemy, and a beast will come from the underground and attacks the enemy, this can cause a ton of damage and help players get objectives. However, unlocking this weapon needs players to go out of their way, but it won't be that hard.

Unlike the other weapons in Destroy All Humans: Reprobed, the Burrow Beast can only be unlocked after players do a side mission called the Cult of Arkvoodle. After they complete the mission, this game-changer of a weapon becomes theirs. Additionally, if players chose to upgrade it, things get even crazier because now an upgraded Burrow Beast can take down stronger enemies and even vehicles. This makes things a lot more fun, and if players are playing coop with a friend who also has the Burrow Beast, things get unfair.

Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed is available now on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
