10 Nebula: Vengeful Resuscitated Stepsister

Marvel Contest of Champions has one of the best storylines in Marvel’s gaming franchise. With a similar storyline to the Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy video game, Nebula here has a long-standing feud with her adoptive stepsister Gamora. Raised in arguably harsher conditions than Gamora and always spurred into contests with her by their father, Thanos, Nebula soon developed a deep-rooted hatred for Gamora. Nebula is revived from a near-death state in this game after battling her sister Gamora.

She plots revenge against her but has to face enemies along the way. Playing her gives you various powers and abilities, such as Electroshock, immunity to poison, and self-regeneration.

9 Donna Troy: Ex-Sidekick Turned Titan

Donna Troy, also known as Wonder Girl, is Wonder Woman’s adoptive stepsister and former sidekick. Created by the sorceress, Derinoe, Donna Troy initially intended to kill Diana or Wonder Woman.

After the Amazons foiled her attempt, Diana took her in as a sister and sidekick. The DC Online Universe game begins her storyline as a member of the teen titans. She dons black spandex and uses her divinely endued superabilities to fight alongside the teen titans. Her famed lasso is also an accessory that comes in handy during battles.

8 Skarlet: Blood-Obsessed Bodyguard

Skarlet is one of the daughters of the Outworld ruler Shao Kahn in the Mortal Kombat series. Although she has differing origins in the different releases of the franchise, the latest one, Mortal Kombat 11, reveals that she is the adoptive daughter of Shao Kahn, making her Kitana’s stepsister. Skarlet is endued with superpowers shortly after her adoption by Shao Kahan and serves as his bodyguard throughout the releases she appears in.

Skarlet is a dangerous opponent in Mortal Kombat 11 with an arsenal of weapons, including her famed kunai and dagger, alongside numerous moves involving these weapons and her supernatural abilities. She also has an insatiable blood lust that’s well emphasized in the game.

7 Catwoman: Lonely Stepsister And Femme Fatale

Few devoted fans know of Selina Kyle or Catwoman’s relationship with the crime boss Carmine Falcone because it’s barely explored in any video game franchise. Falcone isn’t mentioned in the Injustice series nor his daughter Sofia, Selina Kyle’s stepsister. Since Selina is illegitimately born, Falcone doesn’t take her in or let both his daughters meet. This loneliness perhaps contributes to Selina’s independence and cunning prowess as Catwoman.

In the Injustice series, she joins Batman’s side as part of the resistance against the corrupted Superman. With various abilities and skills, such as Cat Scratch, Nine Lives, and Whip It, Catwoman is one of the best playable female characters in the Injustice franchise.

6 Mileena: Toothy Ally

Mileena is a creation of the Sorcerer Shang Tsung and one of the adoptive daughters of Shao Kahn. Her connection to Shao Kahn makes her both Skarlet and Kitna’s stepsister but the only daughter of the Outworld Emperor of unnatural origin. Nonetheless, she remained one of his most faithful acolytes throughout the series.

Mileena’s relationship with Kitana is briefly explored in Mortal Kombat 11, but the latter refers to her as a sister in an interaction between the two. Mileena can decapitate her opponents with her Tarkatan teeth or consume them whole as a playable character. She also has strong hand-to-hand combat skills.

5 Aphrodite: Incestuous Goddess Of Love

Aphrodite is the goddess of love and the daughter of Zeus and Dione. Because she shares the same progenitor as Kratos, they’re technically stepsiblings. Nonetheless, their relationship in the game franchise goes beyond typical sibling relationships, given that she once forced him to have sex with her.

But she lends him help from time to time in the storyline. Asides from this, Aphrodite has incredible powers, and even though she’s a non-playable character in the God of War series, they are explored. 4 Rukia: Byakuya's Reluct

Rukia Kuchiki is the adoptive stepsister of Byakuya Kuchiki in the Bleach: Brave Souls video game. Byakuya adopted Rukia because of her connection to Hisana, Rukia’s blood sister whom he married. This act technically makes them stepsiblings, but their relationship was one of few words.

3 Nojiko: Protective Sister And Straw Hat Ally

Nojiko is Nami’s adoptive stepsister due to her connection to Belle-mere, their adoptive stepmother. Nojiko owns a tangerine shop in Cocoyasi village and eventually joins forces with the straw hat pirates when the Arlong pirates endanger her village. Nojiko is a playable character in One Piece: Treasure Cruise and can be used to complete various missions with the straw hat crew.

However, her weak stats make other characters much more preferable to her. The treasure cruise team doesn’t involve serious interaction between Nojiko and Nami, but die-hard fans know she would go to any length to protect her.

2 Gamora: Broken Daughter Of The Mad Titan

Gamora Zen-Whoberi is known for her characteristic green skin and reputation as the deadliest woman in the galaxy in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. After her family and entire race are eliminated by Thanos, the conqueror, she is adopted by him aged five and trained as a warrior alongside her adoptive stepsister Nebula, whom she is forced to kill reluctantly later on.

While Gamora is a non-playable character in the game, she assists the guardians in battles, has a well-explored story, and has a deadly sword, Godslayer. She delivers high-damage combos and can obtain collectibles that tell her story.

1 Mikasa: Overprotective Stepsister

Mikasa is one of the most famous characters in the attack on titan franchise due to her amazing ability to kill titans seemingly effortlessly and her connection to Eren. Mikasa lost her parents to a gang of murderers, and after being saved by Eren and his father, she is adopted by them. This makes Mikasa Eren’s adoptive stepsister and contributes to her developing a strong protective relationship with him.

In the Attack on Titan 2 video game, Mikasa is a playable character with incredible skill with the blade, maneuvering equipment, and thunder spears.
