Given the plethora of Star Wars video game titles available throughout the years, developers and producers have created some of the most memorable moments for players. With the current established characters and new characters entering the mix, a large variety of the sequences have allowed players to gravitate toward the characters to a greater extent, such as Cal Kestis, Starkiller, and much more.

While some of the epic moments are present within some of the older games which are not quite up to the standard of modern titles, they are still very much worth revisiting and manage to maintain some of the highlights in Force-related gameplay.

5 Jedi Fallen Order - Opening Sequence

Second Sister

With the Star Wars Jedi series from Respawn Entertainment thrusting players into a new experience with Padawan Cal Kestis, the opening sequence of Jedi Fallen Order was an incredibly epic one, to say the least. Very reminiscent of Uncharted 2 Among Thieves' opening train wreckage set piece, Cal finds himself on the run from a group of Inquisitors after using the Force to save an ally.

During this, players are run through a tutorial on combat, traversal, and other necessary maneuvers, and the chaos within the environment and background is a fantastic spectacle. It sets the tone for what is to come later down the line in the game and highlights the immense level of danger that Cal is in as one of the rare remaining Jedi individuals in the aftermath of Order 66.

Speaking of Order 66, players are reminded of the event that left any remaining Jedi completely vulnerable in its aftermath, which is seen through the eyes of Cal Kestis. Standing as a survivor of the onslaught, players are subjected to escape the attack from Stormtroopers with chaos and panic widespread in the background while Cal attempts to defend himself.

While it is not necessarily notable for its environmental damage and buildings or sites breaking down, it is the level of significance of the moment that leads this to be, as it has an incredible amount of importance on the entirety of the Star Wars narrative. Among all the sequences in both games and even movies, especially Revenge of the Sith, this is one for fans to look back on with yet another Jedi's traumatic past being showcased.

3 The Force Unleashed - Vader Entrance On Kashyyyk

Vader invades Kashyyyk

When Darth Vader, within any form of Star Wars content from TV shows, movies, and games, is present on screen, especially at the beginning, all fans will undoubtedly tune in. While there are many other memorable moments of Darth Vader on screen over the years, the introduction in Star Wars The Force Unleashed allows players to invade Kashyyyk in style, with Vader blitzing his way through enemies.

While not the occasional scripted set piece, it is definitely worth noting, especially once when coming up against a Jedi, where Vader completely handles him with ease. It showcases the capabilities of Vader and how dangerous he can really be while setting the stage for what players will be doing with Starkiller once playable.

2 Jedi Fallen Order - Cal's Vader Escape

Cal vs Vader

When speaking of Vader and his overwhelming power in a set piece, Jedi Fallen Order produced just that. After defeating the Second Sister, Cal is met by Vader and stands absolutely no chance and is left having to run and escape his grasp. Within this sequence, players must run while Vader is in the midst of his pursuit, using the Force to break apart the bridges and areas that Cal could use as a way out.

Not only did this show the huge difference between Cal, Cere, and Vader at the time, but it also stands as one of the more intimidating set pieces despite it being scripted, especially for those knowledgeable regarding just how powerful and deadly Vader can be. His casual and slow demeanor featured in the aforementioned Force Unleashed opening is also presented here, but as this set piece is the ending of Fallen Order Cal's escape after retrieving the Holocron felt very crucial.

1 Jedi Survivor - Cal & Merrin's Escape On Jedah

Cal & Merrin

The most recent Star Wars game, and arguably the best of them all in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, undoubtedly features the best-set piece sequence among all titles. After Cal and Merrin share their first kiss, players find themselves thrust into a fantastic spectacle of traversal as Cal is shifted through Merrin's portals whilst fending off an Empire Drill, which left players on the edge of their seats without a moment to rest.

The juxtaposition of the pair's romance finally going further, next to the sudden shock of a new layer of Merrin's powers being revealed, was fascinating. Despite the sequence not playing a major part in the overarching plot, it was something that fans had been waiting to see off the back of the epic moments in Jedi Survivor's predecessor.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
