Nintendo has provided an updated list of the 10 best-selling Nintendo Switch games, revealing the most popular games on its home console/handheld hybrid. The Nintendo Switch has been an incredible success, becoming the second-best selling Nintendo system of all time, just behind the DS. A big reason for the Switch's success has been its strong library of games, with Nintendo having made all 10 games that make up the console's top 10.

Earlier this year, Nintendo released a list of the 10 best-selling Switch games. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe led the pack, followed by Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Pokemon Sword and Shield, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Super Mario Party, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. The new list is identical, but the numbers have changed.

Games exclusive to the Nintendo Switch share a high pedigree, and here is a ranking of the best titles available on the console.

As revealed by Nintendo, the current top 10 best-selling Switch games have remained the same, but all the games have added more sales to their overall numbers. Nearly 2 million more copies of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have been sold, with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and Tears of the Kingdom enjoying sizable jumps as well, the latter picking up another million sales. While the top 10 list didn't change too much this time around, it's quite likely that the next update will be a different story.

Best-Selling Nintendo Switch Games

animal crossing super mario zelda
  1. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 57.01 million
  2. Animal Crossing: New Horizons - 43.38 million
  3. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - 32.44 million
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 31.15 million
  5. Super Mario Odyssey - 26.95 million
  6. Pokemon Sword and Shield - 26.02 million
  7. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet - 23.23 million
  8. Super Mario Party - 19.66 million
  9. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - 19.50 million
  10. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe - 16.70 million

At the rate the games are going, it's likely that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will surpass Super Mario Party without too much effort. It will likely get close to Breath of the Wild's sales numbers when it's all said and done, but that remains to be seen. It also wouldn't be surprising if the next sales report saw New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe knocked off the list, as one has to imagine that Super Mario Bros. Wonder has been a big hit for Nintendo.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder has earned rave reviews and is the first completely new 2D Super Mario game in a decade. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe was a port of an existing Wii U game, which may give Super Mario Bros. Wonder an advantage. Otherwise, it's unlikely that the top 10 best-selling Switch games list will change all that much in the years ahead.
