2022 has already been an incredible year for the video game industry, with landmark releases like Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Horizon Forbidden West, and of course, the critically-acclaimed Elden Ring already available to fans. The industry is going to keep its momentum going strong in March 2022, with one day in March particularly noteworthy when it comes to new video game releases.

March 2022 in general has a lot of big game releases, but no day is busier than Friday, March 25. On that day, three major game releases will launch across PC, PlayStation, Switch, and Xbox, giving all gamers something new to play regardless of their platform of choice.

First up is Ghostwire: Tokyo, a new action-adventure game from Evil Within developer Tango Gameworks. Ghostwire: Tokyo is coming to PC and PS5 as a timed-console exclusive, though is expected to arrive on Xbox Series X at some point next year. Ghostwire: Tokyo has players exploring Tokyo, ridding the streets of hostile spirits while also interacting with friendly yokai. Ghostwire: Tokyo gameplay footage so far has looked impressive, and it will be interesting to see if it lives up to the hype.

Kirby-and-the-Forgotten-Lands-Demo-Available-Now

That same day, Nintendo Switch gamers will be able to check out the latest Kirby adventure, Kirby and the Forgotten Land. Kirby and the Forgotten Land appears to be generating more interest than other Kirby video games, mainly because of how it's moving the platforming franchise forward. Kirby has mostly stuck to side-scrolling affairs since the character's introduction decades ago, but Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a full-fledged 3D platformer instead, complete with local co-op support.

And finally, March 25 will also see the release of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, a spin-off of the popular Borderlands franchise that's aiming for release on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a full-scale version of the Borderlands 2 expansion Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, so it's essentially a first-person shooter take on a Dungeons & Dragons campaign. It looks like it will be full of humor and over-the-top action, so Borderlands fans have a lot to look forward to come March 25.

It's rare for three major new video games to all release on the same day, but that's exactly what's happening come March 25. There's a spooky action-adventure game, a first-person shooter mixed with open world RPG elements, and an ambitious 3D platformer to look forward to, so fans should have plenty of variety.
