Kaley Cuoco's successful movie and TV career is another good example that actors can achieve fame thanks to a long-running TV series. Born in 1985, Kaley Cuoco has been acting professionally since the early 1990s but became a well-known name when she was cast as Penny in the now-iconic sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

The lovable, funny, and honest Penny who was smarter than people gave her credit for brought Cuoco's career onto a new level. However, the actress has taken on many other interesting roles in both movies and TV shows that are worth watching just as much as The Big Bang Theory.

8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter Kaley Cuoco

If Kaley Cuoco's fans want to see her in another excellent sitcom predating even The Big Bang Theory, this series is the best choice. Its title speaks for itself. Paul (John Ritter) doesn't have it easy parenting his two daughters, Bridget (Cuoco) and Kerry (Amy Davidson). The series will be relatable to many people as similar situations happen in multiple families that are raising teenagers.

Cuoco's Bridget is sometimes hilarious, sometimes intolerable, and Cuoco easily switches between various moods, proving her acting talent. However, the cast is solid overall, and the series has a fast pace making it easy to watch one episode after another. 8 Simple Rules... for Dating My Teenage Daughter ran for three seasons between 2002 and 2005 and has 76 episodes in total, offering a lot of content for Cuoco's fans.

Separated at Worth 2006

With just 36 ratings on IMDb at the moment, Separated at Worth is one of the hidden pieces of Cuoco's filmography that deserves more attention than it had gotten. Kaley Cuoco stars as Gabby and gives a traditionally solid performance, proving once again that she excels at the comedy genre. Other than Cuoco, the movie stars other familiar faces, most notably Jane Lynch, best known for her role in the musical TV show Glee.

3 The Wedding Ringer (2015)

The Wedding Ringer Kaley Cuoco

Kaley Cuoco more often has prominent roles in TV shows than she does in movies. One of her best-rated movies that give Cuoco more space is this fun comedy starring not only Cuoco but also Josh Gad and Kevin Hart. Gad plays Doug Harris, a man who's about to marry the girl of his dreams, Gretchen (Cuoco).

The only problem is that Doug has no friends and needs the best man. So he hires one but is trying to keep it a secret, which doesn't go without difficulties. The actors are enjoying their roles and the movie contains several original ideas and plot points that make it different from a lot of comedies. Even though the story centers on Gad and Hart, Kaley Cuoco doesn't disappoint and shines in every scene in which she appears.

2 Harley Quinn

Harley-Quinn-Animated

Harley Quinn is one of the juiciest comic book roles any actress can sink her teeth into since she balances the line between good and evil, rational and unhinged. Kaley Cuoco proves her wide acting voice range in the leading role. Her Harley is far away from a one-dimensional villain. After her relationship with the Joker ends in a rather drastic fashion, Harley has to reinvent herself and decides to prove to the world what she can do by getting into the Injustice League. She also forms a new team and maybe, just maybe, finds love.

The series is full of action as well as humor, often an adult one. Harley doesn't watch her tongue so even though the series is animated, it's not suitable for children. Other than Harley, the series has many excellent characters, such as Poison Ivy, King Shark, Clayface, and, of course, the Joker and Batman also make an appearance. Unlike other Harley Quinn portrayals, the show takes the care to establish the developing romantic relationship between Harley and Ivy, and Cuoco manages to make even the more romantic side of her heroine believable. Harley Quinn currently has two seasons, 26 episodes in total, and is streaming on HBO MAX. Those who will enjoy it will be happy to hear that the third season will most likely premiere this year.

1 The Flight Attendant

The Flight Attendant HBO Max renewal

Kaley Cuoco's latest TV show in which she has the leading role couldn't be more different from Penny and The Big Bang Theory. The comedy-thriller series centers on Cassandra Bowden, a flight attendant who leads a free-spirited lifestyle as she travels around the Earth. Things get complicated when she wakes up one morning and a dead body is lying next to her. Cassie decides to pretend like nothing had happened but at the same time, she wonders whether she's a killer and just doesn't remember it.

The mystery at the heart of the series as well as its dark sense of humor is enough to attract the audience. Kaley Cuoco's Cassie isn't always sympathetic, but that doesn't make it any less fascinating to watch as Cassie reacts to this new problem and juggles her increasing worries. The series currently has only eight episodes and is available on HBO MAX, so anybody interested in streaming it can binge-watch it in a relatively short time.
