Terrifier is one of the greatest slasher movies with a horrifying clown, a simple but entertaining story, and lots of screaming and blood. Since the movie takes place on Halloween night it adds a bit of extra atmosphere to the movie which makes it a perfect horror movie night watch.

The story takes place partly in the Bates family home and in their motel which seems to be connected to mysterious disappearances and murders. The movie follows Marion a secretary who embezzles money and is now on a run. However, she soon has to deal with much bigger problems once she checks into a remote motel and meets Norman Bates.
6 Friday the 13th – 1980
Friday the 13th is a classic horror slasher with one of the most dangerous horror movie campsites. It's a perfect choice for those who loved Terrifier's bloody scenes and looking for another slasher with lots of creative deaths, a bit of mystery, and a deadly murderer in a creepy costume.
The movie takes place at the seemingly idyllic Crystal Lake camp that has a surprisingly dark and bloody past. The story follows a young group of camp counselors who decided it was time to reopen the summer camp. However, they soon find out that the townsfolk's dark stories were true when a brutal serial killer begins hunting them down.
5 House of Wax – 2005
House of Wax is one of the most underappreciated horror movies with a creative story and some of the most iconic horror movie deaths. This movie has a spooky atmosphere and has one of the best horror movie locations with a truly chilling exhibit.
Its cast includes Supernatural's Jared Padalecki, 24's Elisha Cuthbert, and Paris Hilton as well. The story follows a group of teens who are on their way to a football game but because of car troubles, they end up in a ghost town. As the group is looking for help they find a creepy wax museum with surprisingly lifelike wax figures. Soon the group gets haunted by the twin brothers who created this deadly museum.
4 100 Tears – 2007
100 Tears is perfect for those who are looking for a B-rated slasher horror with another creepy clown. This horror movie also has some pretty gory deaths and a murderer who is fueled by hate and revenge.
The story follows a circus clown called Gurdy, who is wrongfully accused of rape and suffers from a mental breakdown, and goes on a murderous rampage. The two journalists Mark and Jennifer who decided to try and track him down find themselves kidnaped and trapped in Gurdy's warehouse where they'll have to figure out a way to stay alive.
3 Maniac – 2012

Thanks to Maniac, Elijah Wood fans had a chance to see their favorite hobbit become one of the creepiest movie serial killers. This movie also has a crazed murderer who's after women and while he isn't dressing up for the kills he certainly has a special way of committing them.
It's an intense and gore movie in which a serial killer works in his late mother's shop where he restores vintage mannequins. After he brutally murders his victims he removes their scalps and attaches them to the restored mannequins.
2 Halloween Kills – 2021
Halloween Kills is one of the newer additions to the iconic Halloween franchise and is a great option for those who want to get to know the movies but don't want to start with an older film. It's one of the scariest horror movies that take place on Halloween with a murderer who also had an unforgettable costume.
The story follows Laurie who tries to trap Michael, but he escapes and keeps on killing. However, in the hospital, Laurie meets Tommy who was also there when Micheal committed his first bloody kills. Soon, they all go after the seemingly unstoppable killer to end his terror for good.

It's one of the most well-known and scariest horror movies with darkly gorgeous visuals and an atmospheric world.
The movie's story revolves around a group of misfit kids who decide to work together and kill the shape-shifting supernatural creature. This horrifying evil monster has been taking the form of a clown to hunt down and eat the unsuspecting children.
