Horror games have all sorts of villains within them, although these are usually horrifying monsters; in some occasions, those that are usually the symbol of innocence are the ones that are the most evil and therefore are usually holding the player back.

Meeting a child in a horror game is unsurprisingly a bad experience with many games making these kids their villains that the typically adult protagonist must avoid or defeat. Children have continued to be the villains of these titles with these troublesome lot being by far the best child villains out of the bunch that players have encountered over the years.

8 Giant Baby (Resident Evil Village)

Although it isn't the main antagonist of the game, the Giant Baby is still foe players are expected to encounter while exploring House Beneviento in Resident Evil Village. As a grotesque creature, the Giant Baby doesn't speak, but players are aware of its approaching due to its dire child screams and disturbing coos.

Arguably, the Giant Baby is most likely another illusion created by Donna Beneviento to scare Ethan Winters to feel guilt about the possible changes that may happen to his daughter as he attempts to find her. Although an Illusion the Giant Baby can still do some damage as when Ethan encounters it the baby will easily swallow him whole.

7 Gray Children (Silent Hill)

Similarly to the Giant Baby, the Gray Children of Silent Hill are not the main villain but are still an enemy the player must face while exploring. There could also be some debate from players that the Gray Children aren't even children at all but just appear like they are.

However, they only appear as Gray Children in the American version of Silent Hill as in both the European and Asian versions of the game these were changed to mumblers due to looking too much like children. Gray Children are a menacing foe players must face, especially due to their knife-wielding skills.

6 Queen Of Hearts (Alice: Madness Returns)

Queen of Hearts sitting in a chair in the game Alice

While the Queen of Hearts in Alice: Madness Returns may seem like the sorry sort in the second game, the Queen of Wonderland was a ferocious villain during the first title. Although Alice and the rebels that follow her have no fear of the Queen of Hearts, the rest of Wonderland is in fear of this queen and the destruction she has brought.

Wonderland has become a dictatorship under the control of this young girl. Although she is only a child she is still able to control the fairy tale land around her through violence, and she is shown throughout the story of the game to be incredibly corrupt.

5 Akane Kiryu (Fatal Frame 2)

Akane Kiryu approaching the player in Fatal Frame 2

Although Akane and her twin sister Azami succeeded in stopping the darkness from taking their village through Akane having to sacrifice her sister, life has fallen far for Akane since then. Through the combined guilt of killing her sister and the obsession she had with a doll that looked exactly like her, Akane Kiryu became an incredibly hostile girl.

During Fatal Frame 2, the player encounters Akane Kiryu who does not take kindly to the player. Both Akane and Azami's story is incredibly interesting that is sure to encourage any player to help free Akane from her possession through the doll she carries.

4 Bobby Barrows (Clock Tower: The First Fear)

Scissorman in Clocktower

Bobby Barrows is an eight-year-old boy that stalks the player throughout Clock Tower: The First Fear, he is also the secondary antagonist of the game which makes this small boy a regular occurrence for the player to meet.

Every child has been told to never run with scissors, however, it appears that Bobby never had this lesson as he's more than happy to chase after the player while wielding a large pair of shears. Despite his young age, Bobby has killed multiple people with his large pair of scissors and the player is likely to be one of them often.

3 Lucius Wagner (Lucius)

Close up of Lucius Wagner Lucius

While Lucius is the main character of the game the sort of things the player is told to do or has the freedom to commit makes Lucius Wagner an obvious villain of his franchise. Throughout all three titles, Lucius plans various accidents for multiple NPCs in the games where he tests his supernatural powers in the hope to make Lucifer's connection to this world stronger.

He may appear incredibly silent and ominous but through Lucius' journal entries, the next antichrist is shown to be incredibly witty and cruel while having some fierce opinions about some of the individuals he has killed.

2 Alma Wade (F.E.A.R)

AlmaWade poster in fear

Alma Wade was a little girl that had been experimented upon until she had hit her psychic potential that caused those that wished to test her to finally fear her instead. She is one of the main antagonists throughout the F.E.A.R franchise and has continued to cause intense moments for players.

Although a villain, arguably Alma Wade's actions are somewhat justified as she wishes to get revenge for the inhumane experiments that were done to her by Armacham Technology Corporation. However, players can't deny how creepy she is.

1 Eveline (Resident Evil 7: Biohazard)

Ethan fighting Eveline Resident Evil 7

Similarly, Eveline is another small girl that had been genetically modified even before birth to be an incredible Bioweapon created by The Connections. Eveline was obsessed with creating her own family since she never really had one of her own which then led to her corrupting every member of the Baker family in Resident Evil 7.

Masquerading as an old woman, players only find out about who Eveline is near the end of the game when they must finally take her on in battle. Although only young Eveline is shown to be incredibly powerful and manipulative as she controls the Baker family to bring more guests to the house in the hope of turning them.
