Lies of P has won the Mac Game of the Year award at Apple's 2023 App Store Awards. Lies of P is a new Soulslike game that released earlier this year to mostly positive reviews. Lies of P Update Makes Controversial Change
Bloodborne-inspired Soulslike Lies of P releases a controversial update that looks to give players an easier time in the early goings of the game.
It remains to be seen how well Lies of P will perform at The Game Awards on December 7, but in the meantime, the game has already won at least one Game of the Year award. Apple's 2023 App Store Awards have given Lies of P the Mac Game of the Year award. Lies of P defeated Elex 2 and Return to Monkey Island to win the top prize. It's possible this will just be the first of many awards Lies of P wins this year, but even if it doesn't win any additional awards, it's impressive that the brand-new IP has managed to take home a Game of the Year award in what has been a packed year of acclaimed new game releases.
NEOWIZ is looking to capitalize on Lies of P's success in a number of ways. For one, it's been confirmed that a Lies of P sequel is in development, which makes sense given the way that the first game ends. But it seems fans won't have to wait for the sequel to continue their adventures in Krat. It's also been confirmed that Lies of P DLC is in active development, though fans will have to wait and see what all that entails.

Neowiz's Lies of P is a Soulslike based on Carlo Collodi's The Adventures of Pinocchio. Set in Krat, the eponymous puppet finds themselves going up against a range of mechanical enemies that now roam this city's once lively streets. Lies of P has multiple endings, a crafting system, and a wide range of weapon types.
