Fortnite’s Battle Royale requires players to master various skills to win matches. From building and editing structures to escaping enemies to aiming and firing to get accurate shots, players must hone multiple skill sets to finish first. Aiming is one of the hardest techniques to improve and enhance, which makes it crucial to turn on aim assist before dropping into a match.

Aim assist is an in-game tool that helps players lock onto enemies to ensure that any shot fired actually lands and hits the opponent. Many players don’t know the best aim assist settings for their gaming platforms, which negatively impacts their gameplay. Here’s a guide on the best aim assist settings whether you’re playing on a console, PC, or mobile.

Best Aim Assist Settings in Fortnite

fortnite aim assist

The best aim assist setting in Fortnite is 100, the highest value. Normally, the aim assist value ranges from 0 to 100, with 0 offering no aim assist and 100 providing the best, most efficient assistance when aiming. Players should always set the aim assist value at 80 or higher (preferably 100) to ensure they get the most assistance when firing. Whether you’re new to Fortnite or an experienced player, you need aim assist to minimize and slow down crosshair movement.

So, when configuring your in-game settings before landing at a Fortnite hotspot, set the aim assist value to 100. Whether you’re playing on PS, Xbox, PC, or mobile, ensure the value is 100 if you want to get accurate shots each time you fire.

Players can turn on aim assist by finding it under sensitivity settings on their gaming platform. On PlayStation, navigate to the Controller Settings and enable the Advanced tab to gain access to sensitivity settings. Scroll down until you find a tab labeled Aim Assist Strength. Slide this tab to the right until it reads 80 or higher. Select Apply to save changes and launch Fortnite to start playing.

Note that the aim assist settings are only available for players who use controllers. So, if you use a mouse and keyboard to play Fortnite on a PC, it is not possible to adjust or configure aim assist. However, if you play on a PC using a controller, you can adjust them to help lock in enemies quickly and easily.
