One of the things that set the shonen genre apart from other anime is its excellent fight scenes. There have been a lot of great fight scenes in shonen anime series, from epic energy blasts to hand-to-hand fights. But what sets the truly great ones apart from the good ones?

10 Rengoku Vs. Akaza (Demon Slayer)
With its gorgeous visuals and spectacular action scenes, the Demon Slayer anime series is among the best of the new generation of anime. One of the best fights ever depicted in a shonen series was included in the anime film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train.
Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku's epic struggle against the level three demon Akaza of the Twelve Kizuki. Fans were on the edge of their seats as both sides gave it their all. 9 Luffy Vs. Katakuri (One Piece)
As compared to the series' other strengths, such as storyline and world-building, One Piece's fight scenes aren't as well known. Then the story takes an unexpected turn when everyone's favorite Strawhat captain, Luffy, faces off against Katakuri, the top commander of the Big Mom pirates.
A lot of the fights in One Piece are rather drawn out and feature a lot of chitchat between the characters. Luffy's conflict with Katakuri, however, strikes a fine balance between conversation and nonstop action. Luffy is no match for Katakuri's impressive display of observation haki, a technique that allows him to foresee the future and perfectly predict the movements of his opponents. But Luffy, being the amazing protagonist that he is, turns the tables on this top commander.
8 Asta & Yami Vs. Dante (Black Clover)
The irresponsible captain of the Black Bulls, Yami Sukehiro, and Asta, a Black Bull magic knight incapable of using magic, show that they are not the characters fans met at the beginning of the series in Black Clover’s anime finale matchup.
With both Yami and Asta facing off against Dante Zogratis, a contractor of the highest ranking devil Lucifero, both members of the Black Bulls magic knight squad must surpass their limits to avoid being exterminated like bugs. The duo’s battle against Dante is so intense that it portrays some of the best-seen battle coordination between anime characters.

To win a fight against a single intelligent beast three times his size would be a major surprise to most people. The anime series Attack on Titan features a main character, Levi Ackerman, who has a talent for shattering viewers' preconceived notions of what is possible for human beings.

6 Endeavor & Hawks Vs. High-End Nomu (My Hero Academia)
Characters in the My Hero Academia series are in a state of discomfort and worry shortly after the retirement of the number one hero, All Might, despite the fact that the number two hero, Endeavor, has stepped forward to take All Might's place. However, after one great encounter against the top-tier Nomu Hood, with Hawks by his side, they completely change their minds about Endeavor.
Emotion and tension are great features of this fight. The people of Japan are watching the battle between Endeavor and Hawks with trepidation, wondering if their new top hero will live up to the legacy of All Might.
5 Netero Vs. Mereum (Hunter x Hunter)
The Chimera Ant Arc of the Hunter X Hunter anime is one of the best in the series. And that is in no small part due to the epic battle between Mereum, the king of the Chimera ants, and Netero, the chairman of the Hunter Association.
Netero, one of the strongest humans alive, is put up against a monster that has only been living for 40 days, and he is clearly losing. Such statistics drove fans of the Hunter x Hunter anime series wild, as the final battle between the two could only be described as an emotionally charged epic showdown.
4 Saitama Vs. Boros (One Punch Man)
In the first season of One Punch Man, the intergalactic planet dominator Boros believed he was too powerful for anyone to handle, so he traveled to Earth in search of a fight against the planet's strongest warrior. When he arrived on Earth, he was confronted by Saitama in what could only be described as an epic combat.
Boros was able to survive more than one punch from Saitama thanks to his incredible regeneration abilities, but as soon as Saitama raised the power of his blows, the fight was over. This fight shows how powerful Saitama is, with its great depiction of stunning graphics and the boredom that comes with being the strongest.
3 Naruto & Sasuke Vs. Momoshiki (Boruto)
The Naruto anime is famous for its spectacular fight sequences, especially those involving Naruto and the likes of Pain and Sasuke. Despite this, in the Boruto series, Naruto and Sasuke's fight against Momoshiki Otsutsuki was even more epic than the fans had hoped for.
It was rare since Naruto became the Seventh Hokage for both Naruto and Sasuke to go all out against the same opponent, demonstrating their tremendous taijutsu and ninjutsu techniques. Ichigo, the protagonist, and Aizen, the antagonist, engage in battle, transforming the landscape with each swing of their swords. Ichigo is battling to save the Soul Society from annihilation, while Aizen seeks absolute control so that he can change the world in his image. 1 Saber Alter Vs. Rider (Fate)
The Fate anime is renowned for featuring spectacular battles. In Fate Stay/Night: Heaven's Feel III, Saber Alter faces off against Rider in one of the series' most memorable fights. The battle's intensity hits sky-high notes as it depicts sheer might, clever thought, epic maneuvering, and unrestrained emotion.
Even more exciting for viewers, the battle heats up as both fighters employ noble phantasms.
