  • Characters like Judy Alvarez and Yennefer showcase strong narratives and emotional depth in CD Projekt Red titles.

CD Projekt Red is one of the best video game developers around right now. The controversy surrounding Cyberpunk 2077's botched release threatened to destroy all of the goodwill this company had painstakingly generated over the course of the past few years, but the developers put their heads down and continued to improve the title until it finally turned its reputation around. As of this point, players can check out pretty much every CD Projekt Red title and not be disappointed by what's on offer.

6 Judy Alvarez

A Braindance Expert Who's Intensely Loyal To Her Friends

Judy Alvarez in Cyberpunk 2077
  • Appears In:Cyberpunk 2077

During V's adventures in Night City, he's introduced to Judy Alvarez via Evelyn. This braindance expert has a spunky attitude that makes her a blast to interact with, and watching her tear Night City apart to find her close friend and romantic partner shows how dedicated she is to saving the people close to her.

A great way to illustrate why Judy is such a magical character to interact with can be seen in the ending where V ends their own life. Out of all the messages that appear during the credits, Judy is the one who appears the most heartbroken over the loss of a close friend. It's impossible to not feel sad for her as she bawls her heart out, with her grief making it clear just how much she adored V.

5 Triss Merigold

A Red-Haired Sorceress Who's Been With Geralt Throughout The Trilogy Of Games

  • Appears In:The Witcher, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Triss Merigold is a character who's been with Geralt over the course of the games, serving as a romantic interest across all three games that Geralt can stick with in the long run. While she may be apologetic about her actions in the third game, there's no denying that she manipulated Geralt and didn't exactly remind him about Yennefer and Ciri when he was struggling to recall his memories.

Still, there's something about Triss that makes her a blast to interact with regardless. She's a powerful mage and can serve as a nice partner to Geralt who can stick with her in the long run by the time his adventures wrap up in the third game, as long as they're willing to forgive her for her manipulative behavior in the first two games.

4 Hanako Arasaka

A Cunning, Elegant Member Of One Of Night City's Most Powerful Families

Cyberpunk 2077 Hanako Arasaka at Embers
  • Appears In:Cyberpunk 2077

Everyone who thinks power in Cyberpunk 2077 is all about being able to decimate enemies in combat should take a long, hard look at the Arasaka family. Using money and influence to mold the future of the world itself is what real power is about, and it's a shame that Yorinobu besmirches the family's legacy with his clumsy attempt to take over the throne.

Cyberpunk 2077 might seem a little intimidating at first, but these tips should make things easier for newcomers.

His carelessness is even more apparent when players see the grace and effectiveness with which Hanako conducts herself when V interacts with her. She's a cold and cunning member of the family who only wants to see that their name continues to be at the top, helping her father take over Yorinobu's body if V decides to take Arasaka's help at the end of the game.

3 Panam Palmer

A Fiery Sniper And A Stalwart Member Of The Aldecaldos

  • Appears In:Cyberpunk 2077

Panam is a member of the Aldecaldos who makes a strong impression from the very moment she's introduced in Cyberpunk 2077. She seems rather savage and aloof when players interact with her at first, only for the character to slowly open up to V and possibly become his love interest.

Her fiery personality makes her interactions with Saul entertaining all the time, and the fact that she has one of the strongest weapons in the entire game is a bonus that players will love to use. Ultimately, it's Panam's loyalty to V that allows players to access a whole new ending path using the help of the Aldecaldos, which makes for a great time indeed.

2 Yennefer Of Vengerberg

Lilac And Gooseberries Help This Powerful Sorceress Stand Out For Geralt

  • Appears In:The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

It's a testament to Yennefer's strength as a character that she's considered to be one of the best female characters in any CD Projekt game by many despite only appearing in one of the three Witcher games. This raven-haired sorceress has a fierce temperament and takes her anger out on Geralt more often than not.

In many ways, her relationship with Geralt is pretty toxic, which makes it feel real. Their fiery relationship is what a lot of people prefer over a safer option in the form of Triss. Watching her cut no corners to locate and save Ciri shows her strong motherly instinct, making their reunion extremely sweet to witness.

1 Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon

Geralt's Adoptive Daughter And A Child Of The Elder Blood

  • Appears In:The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Fans of the books were more than glad to find out that Ciri would finally make an appearance in The Witcher 3, with the bulk of this game surrounding Geralt's pursuit of his ward that sends him to various regions in the North. When players finally reach the Isle of Mists and reunite with this character, it's hard not to get emotional as Geralt assumes Ciri has passed away, only for her to regain consciousness and embrace her father.

Ciri's personality is as endearing as can be, with players loving the portions of the story when they get to control this character in various flashbacks. She's a powerful warrior whose fate can be molded by Geralt and his actions as he either supports Ciri or overwrites her decision-making in the final third of the main game's narrative. The sad ending is one of the biggest downers to end this epic journey, so most players would like to avoid that and either let Ciri carve her own path as an Empress or become a witcher, following in her father's footsteps.
