Some games carry a deeper message, while also being incredibly therapeutic to experience. In Lake, players control Meredith as she takes a break from her career in the big city. She has returned to her childhood home to take over her father's job as a postman while her parents are on holiday. While the player is delivering letters and parcels, they will aid the townsfolk, who will eventually open their eyes to what's important.

Lake has multiple endings that will have players playing this cozy title more than once in the hope to experience everything the game has to offer. With such a straightforward mechanic Lake is sure to have many players settling down after a stressful day.

9 Omno

The relaxing tale of Omno is another wholesome adventure for those that have purchased PlayStation Plus Extra. In this cozy adventure, players explore an ancient world full of wonder as they must overcome puzzles and obstacles in the hope of making it to the end.

There are plenty of secrets to discover in Omno that are sure to make some players stray away from the set path to find out what else they can reveal in Omno. Although a single-player experience, the player isn't alone as they are sure to encounter various mythical creatures while they're on their travels.

Haven is an adorable game that can either be played alone or with a couch co-op partner. Players step into the shoes of a couple that have crash-landed on an abandoned planet. They must work together to clean up the separate islands that make up the planet and search for the parts they need to fix their ship before the people chasing them find them.

The game is incredibly vibrant, and features plenty of adorable moments between the two characters that show how much they love each other. At the same time, though, it doesn't shy away from the difficulties they are facing when being stranded on the planet.

7 Carto

Continuing the theme of great art styles in gaming, Carto is a cozy game that ticks all the boxes of a relaxing experience. Carto is an adventure title that follows the main character of the same name as she journeys back to her family.

This carefully crafted world is only made better by the cartography puzzle mechanics that mean Carto must manipulate the world around her to find new pieces of the map. Yet again, those that have PlayStation Plus Extra can find themselves lost in the adventure in Carto for as long as it's a part of the service.

A great farming simulator that is available to players with a PlayStation Plus Extra subscription is Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. This is one of two titles of the franchise that can be found as part of the subscription though arguably Friends of Mineral Town is by far one of the best.

It steps away from the fantasy of Rune Factory to create a more authentic farming experience, though there is still the inclusion of Harvest Spirits. Besides this, Story of Seasons also gives players the potential of multiple partners to romance to make farming that much more fun.

In the Untitled Goose Game, the player plays as a mischievous goose that has challenged itself to multiple tasks that can be found in a list. From stealing the gardener's hat to performing for a group at the bar, this game is both ridiculous and adorable at the same time.

Rune Factory 4, is a brilliant example of this as it combines the joy of farming sims with that of a fantasy world. As the designated new ruler of a kingdom, it's down to the player to support their townsfolk in making the land thrive like it once did.

Rune Factory 4 Special can be enjoyed by players that have purchased the PlayStation Plus Extra subscription. Players that have purchased PlayStation Plus Extra can find themselves enjoying Rune Factory 4 entirely free for as long as it remains part of the collection.

2 Tearaway Unfolded

BAFTA Nominated Tearaway Unfolded has to have its place as one of the best cozy games a player can experience on the PlayStation with PlayStation Plus. Exploring an Origami world alone or with a friend is not only relaxing but filled with plenty of funny moments.

Players are tasked with controlling and helping the character Atoi the Messenger, as she attempts to deliver a very significant letter. Tearaway was an incredibly well-designed game made for the PlayStation 4 that made the most of the Dualshock 4's features, this continues to be the case on the PlayStation 5, as the game greatly harnesses the touchpad.

Cozy games can be quite emotional at points as seen with Spiritfarer. Players take on the role of Stella as she becomes the Ferry Master for spirits moving on to the other side. With heavy themes of death and grief, players are likely to be in tears on many occasions as they say their goodbyes to some of their favorite spirits on their travels.

Spiritfarer can still be an enjoyable experience for those with PlayStation Plus Extra, as it's up to Stella to support these spirits and help them while also getting involved in multiple exciting mini-games to collect the required resources.
