When it comes to offline gameplay, Career Mode has always been one of the FIFA franchise's most popular attractions, and this is once again the case in EA Sports FC 24. Promising countless hours' worth of entertainment for those willing to throw themselves into it, this year's installment allows players to build something truly special and dominate their respective leagues for decades to come.

Given how much time players can sink into the game mode, choosing the best Career Mode team in EA Sports FC 24 will likely be high on most players' agendas. Some players might want to take a lower league team and guide them to the top tier, while others may prefer taking the reigns at an already established club and building a squad capable of winning trophies for years to come.

Chelsea

  • Transfer Budget: £139,564,192
  • Key Players: Reece James, Enzo Fernandez & Ben Chilwell

On the pitch, things haven't been looking all that great for Chelsea over the past season or so. However, Todd Boehly clearly has a plan, having brought in a ridiculous amount of young talent since becoming chairman of the club in June of 2022. Granted, the players that he's signed have come at an enormous cost and will likely take time to realize their full potential, but this is arguably what makes Chelsea one of the best teams to manage in EA Sports FC 24's Career Mode. The fact that they have a fairly decent transfer budget also helps a lot.

Real Madrid

  • Transfer Budget: £186,543,216
  • Key Players: Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Júnior & Eduardo Camavinga

In Bellingham, Valverde, Camavinga, and Tchouameni, Real Madrid arguably have four of the best midfielders in world football. What makes this all the more impressive is the fact that all four of those players are aged 25 or under, with Bellingham and Camavinga being just 20 at the start of the 23-24 season. It's not just in midfield either. The club has a lot of exciting young players on its books, and while Real could probably do with a proven goalscorer, the Spanish giants have everything else required to dominate both Spain and Europe for years to come.

Manchester City

  • Transfer Budget: £239,880,384
  • Key Players: Erling Haaland, Rúben Dias & Kevin De Bruyne

While on the subject of domination, Manchester City had an incredible 22-23 season, sweeping aside all that stood before them on their way to a historic treble. When it comes to securing instant success, Manchester City is arguably the best Career Mode club to manage in EA Sports FC 24. Long-term success isn't out of the question either, as although one or two key players may only have a few more years left at the highest level, the likes of Haaland, Alvarez, Foden, and Grealish should all have at least another decade's worth of gas left in the tank.

Wrexham

  • Transfer Budget: £3,238,117
  • Key Players: Paul Mullin, Elliot Lee & Max Cleworth

Those looking for more of a fairytale success story may want to consider Wrexham. After being purchased by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the club secured promotion back to the football league after a decade and a half of non-league football and has started the 23-24 season in fine form as well. Alternatively, players may want to consider Notts Counts, who also gained promotion to League 2 last season and did so without the financial contributions of two world-famous celebrities.

Al Nassr

  • Transfer Budget: £51,245,488
  • Key Players: Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane & Seko Fofana

Ronaldo may have opened the way to the Saudi League, but it was probably the ridiculous amounts of oil money being splashed around that guided players there. That the most recent Balon D'or winner is plying his trade in the Middle East is a testament to that, as too is the ridiculous amount of top talent that made its way to the region ahead of the 23-24 season. Surprisingly, the Saudi teams don't actually have huge transfer budgets in EA Sports FC 24, but those who want to witness the continued rise of the league firsthand can do so by managing a team like Al Nassr, Al Ahli, or Al Ittihad.

The Best Young Players for Every Position in EA Sports FC 24 Career Mode

Choosing one of the best Career Mode teams in EA Sports FC 24 is just the first step on a long journey, as players will constantly need to be on the lookout for new talent in order to bolster their ranks. Some may opt for experienced free agents, while larger clubs may splash out on a couple of players with 90+ potential. However, those who opt for a smaller club will likely find themselves operating on a much tighter budget, in which case, these cheap young players with high potential should do the trick.

EA Sports FC 24 is available now on PC, PS5, PS4, Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
