Capcom is a company with a rich history in the video game industry. The organization had a great foothold in the realm of arcade gaming before console gaming became the norm. Capcom has weathered the storm of the gaming industry and has developed some iconic titles that players still remember fondly to this day. Even their most recent outings have been pretty successful, which shows the degree of expertise present in this company.

Capcom games are numerous, with many featuring iconic characters and memorable moments that players won't forget anytime soon. The heroes of Capcom games are quite notable in their own right... although people who buy into their allure forget that these characters have also carried out some of the most heinous acts that a villain would be criticized for quite harshly. Keeping this in mind, here are some of the most destructive Capcom heroes of all time.

8 Leon Kennedy (Resident Evil)

Leon Kennedy is one of the most iconic protagonists in Resident Evil. He's also one of the most violent ones as well, with his over-the-top antics never failing to be entertaining over and over again.

Most people are genuinely surprised that Leon doesn't take some twisted form of pleasure from fighting and killing the waves of enemies that come in his path. Regardless, he's a great character whose maniacal tendencies are generally forgiven for his otherwise entertaining nature.

7 Dante (Devil May Cry)

Devil May Cry 5 Dante stares at the viewer with a sword slung over his shoulder.

The Devil May Cry series features some of the most stylish action games ever made. So, it's only a given that the protagonist who's at the heart of things is also pretty flamboyant in the way that he kills his enemies.

Dante is one of the most iconic video game characters of all time, and it's easy to see why this is the case. His one-liners and witty personality make him a pretty charming protagonist, and almost completely distract players from the gruesome kills that this hero perpetrates time and time again.

6 Frank West (Dead Rising)

Frank West is another iconic character from one of Xbox's patented exclusives, the Dead Rising series. The act of mowing down and killing waves of zombies over and over again might sound somewhat repetitive, but Dead Rising always keeps this concept fun and engaging with its varied combat system.

Of course, the act of making killing interesting means that Frank West's character would have to fit into this murderous persona as well. While he's still a pretty engaging and likable character in his own way, the fact that he turns killing into a bleakly hilarious activity makes him seem downright unstable at times.

5 Hunter (Monster Hunter)

At one point, some players can't help but feel sad for the monsters who populate the world of Monster Hunter. It almost seems like their only goal in this game is to be hunted down and chopped up for resources by greedy Hunters who just want to improve their combat capabilities to take down bigger and more powerful demons.

It's amazing how Monster Hunter has crafted a universe with amazing fauna... only to establish that these creatures are only a stepping stone for players to become powerful. As a result, the Hunters become some of the most unempathetic and greedy characters in gaming history.

4 Chris Redfield (Resident Evil)

The Resident Evil series is full to the brim with heroes that go above and beyond when it comes to showing just how powerful and reliable they really are. Chris Redfield definitely falls in this category, with his antics being pretty hilarious at times.

The fact that he punched a boulder to try and destroy it shows how Chris' mind really works. He's a strongman who will spill as much blood as possible to get what he wants.

3 The Arisen (Dragon's Dogma)

Dragon's Dogma

Dragon's Dogma is easily one of the most underrated fantasy games of all time. The story and its characters might not be great at all, but it's the amazing exploration and combat that makes this experience so memorable.

At the heart of this story is the Arisen, the main character who has his heart stolen by the Dragon who serves as the game's major antagonist. Depending on the player's actions, the Arisen can become an absolute freak whose actions almost always lead to unnecessary mayhem and the like.

2 Asura (Asura's Wrath)

Asura's Wrath is one of the most unique games ever made, and it's a shame that this game hasn't been ported to modern platforms. Hopefully, this mistake can be rectified sooner rather than later.

At the heart of this game is the angriest protagonist in video gaming history, Asura. The man answers with his fists and won't stop until everyone who has betrayed him gets pummelled by his fists of justice, which somehow makes him a pretty entertaining and fun protagonist in his own unique way.

1 Gene (God Hand)

God Hand is one of the most underrated games of all time, and Capcom should be given credit for publishing this masterpiece. The game can be pretty challenging, but players who master the intricate fighting system will find themselves enjoying a pretty unique game indeed.

God Hand is a weird mix of action and comedy elements, making for a wild ride and one of the most unique video games ever made. The protagonist, Gene, is pretty powerful and has no regard for anything during his fights, which reason why he's a major highlight in the game.
