The past few years have seen video game platforms use advent calender-style promotions to keep people returning to their site to buy new games. The Epic Games Store free mystery games, which pop up a couple of times per year, are perhaps the best example of this, but now a traditional retailer has gotten in on the action. Tech retailer Best Buy is hosting a mystery game promotion where it is selling 10 games at a huge discount, with one new game available to purchase each day.

The Best Buy 10 Days 10 Games 10 Dollars sale started on August 10 with Call of Duty: Vanguard, which let customers know that they can expect high profile, big budget games from this sale. Day 2 on August 11 saw critically-acclaimed Soulslike Nioh 2 join the lineup. Nioh 2's inclusion was made even better by the fact that the game has a free PS5 upgrade, so PS5 gamers were able to get a huge steal if they bought it in time.

Now Best Buy has revealed the 10 Days 10 Games 10 Dollars day 3 game, and it's none other than Back 4 Blood. Back 4 Blood launched last year as a spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead. Made by original Left 4 Dead developer Turtle Rock Studios, Back 4 Blood didn't earn the same high praise as its inspiration, but it is still considered to be a solid co-op shooter nevertheless. Getting it for $10 is a great price regardless, especially when one considers that the game is still actively receiving new content. Click here to see the Best Buy deal.

It was just recently announced that Back 4 Blood is getting its second expansion on August 30. Titled Children of the Worm, the second Back 4 Blood expansion will add new weapons, skins, enemies, and story missions. Even more Back 4 Blood premium content is planned for the future, so there should be plenty for fans of the game to look forward to in the months ahead.

$10 is a great deal for Back 4 Blood, but it should be pointed out that the game is available to play through Xbox Game Pass as well. In fact, Back 4 Blood was a day one Xbox Game Pass game when it first released last year, so any PC or Xbox gamers interested in playing the game should consider going that route as well. Back 4 Blood will eventually be removed from Xbox Game Pass, though, so those that want to have the game permanently may want to spring for the Best Buy deal while they still can.
