Everyone is aware of the bloody and gory Fatalities that have become a staple of Mortal Kombat. Brutalities, meanwhile, are performed in a very different way but are just as embarrassing for the opponent. While they have only appeared in a few games, Brutalities have been making a comeback in recent entries. This makes sense since the games have become much more combo-heavy as time has passed.

Rather than being performed at the end of a fight like a Fatality, a player can only use a Brutality when they perform a specific move that takes the opponent's health to zero. Most of the time, players will also need to meet a certain requirement for the Brutality to work. They're tricky to pull off, and only confident and experienced players attempt them. But this only makes Brutalities all the more satisfying when they finish off the enemy.

8 What Would Mileena Do?

Jade Performing the Brutality What Would Mileena Do?

Mileena is often portrayed as one of the most bloodthirsty and brutal characters in the franchise. However, Jade takes a page out of her book in this gruesome Brutality. In it, she flings herself onto the opponent's shoulders using her Pole Vault, and continuously stabs them in the head to make sure they don't get back up.

To execute the finisher, players will need to press both punch buttons rapidly. This causes Jade to balance on the opponent for as long as possible before jumping off and cleaning her dagger once the deed is done.

7 Alien Baby

Alien Performing The Alien Baby Brutality

The Alien from the Ridley Scott movie franchise was a welcome addition to the roster of Mortal Kombat X when it was announced as DLC. NetherRealm made the character seem as dangerous and threatening as it was on the big screen, which can be seen in this unique Brutality.

After picking the Konjurer variation of the Alien, players will need to connect at least one Facehugger to the enemy in the first round. The final hit of the match must also be from a Facehugger. The camera will hone in on the enemy pinned down by the Facehugger before a baby alien pokes its head out from their stomach, as a faithful homage to the classic scene from the first movie.

6 Bad Buzz

Kung Lao Performing The Bad Buss Brutality

Kung Lao is no stranger to using his razor-sharp hat to finish off an opponent as part of a Fatality, but he uses it in a few of his Brutalities too. Among these, the most well-known and hardest to pull off is the Bad Buzz finisher.

This Brutality is an extended version of Kung Lao's forward throw. He puts his hat behind the opponent to cut through their back while he pummels them with his fists, but this time, he also jumps behind the enemy to pull them into the hat, cutting them in two and finishing the match. This isn't an easy Brutality to pull off, as the player cannot lose a round in the entire match. It's a way to make the opponent feel utterly embarrassed if they ever get hit by it.

5 Spin Me Right Around

Kabal Performing Spin Me Right Around Brutality

The sharp-tongued, mysterious Kabal has always been feared in the Mortal Kombat universe. His fighting style involves speeding past enemies with superhuman speed before tearing them apart with his hookblades. This can be seen on full display in this Mortal Kombat 11 Brutality.

When Kabal uses his Nomad Dash special ability, he will spin the enemy around for a few seconds. This would usually be followed by a combo starter, but in this Brutality, Kabal will begin celebrating while the foe spins around until they are a lifeless corpse. Players can only use Spin Me Right Around if they have performed at least 3 Nomad Dashes throughout the match. Fortunately, this isn't much of a problem since this is a go-to move for Kabal players.

4 Ragdoll

Jax Punching His Fists Together

Jax's Ragdoll Brutality is one of the most difficult finishers in Mortal Kombat X. Players must press specific inputs each time Jax swings the opponent over his head. Since the slams get faster as the Brutality goes on, it leaves a tiny window for players to pull it off.

As Jax slams the opponent onto the ground on each side of the stage, he keeps going until the health bars and HUD disappear. All that is left is a pile of bones, showing just how devastating those metal arms are. There are no extra requirements for this Brutality, but the precise button inputs still make it a challenge to execute.

3 Eye Popping

Shinook With His Eyes Popping Out

It's always hilarious seeing the cocky and brash Jonny Cage battling literal gods in the Mortal Kombat universe. By performing this Brutality, he can outright embarrass them by hitting them with a low blow, causing their eyes to pop out.

The Nut Punch is one of Jonny's most reliable moves that can make enemies a little hesitant to engage in close combat with the movie star. To access this enhanced version of the move, players will need to use the Nut Punch at least four times throughout the course of the match. Luckily, this can still be executed with any of Jonny's variations. It is one of the easier Brutalities in Mortal Kombat X, but also one of the most fun to use.

2 Let It Grow, Let It Grow

Mileena Covered In Blood And Guts After A Fight

Mileena is a contender for the most violent character in the Mortal Kombat franchise. This Brutality adds a touch of humor and elegance that players rarely see from the mutant hybrid. After Mileena performs an amplified version of the Staybscoth ability, if the player than presses down three times for the final hit, Mileena will continue cutting the enemy's skull before planting a seed in their body.

After a few seconds, a tiny blue flower sprouts out from the enemy's head. This Brutality has a lot more visual flare than many others, and potentially suggests that there's a delicate side to this character that many fans aren't aware of.

1 Tenderizer

Leatherface Performing His Tenderizer Brutality

Despite having a chainsaw that he can whip out at any time, one of Leatherface's most brutal weapons in Mortal Kombat X is his hammer. He uses this weapon to smash his opponent with in the Tenderizer Brutality. This finisher is known for being long, as Leatherface beats the opponent to the floor multiple times, showing how menacing this character is from his original source material.

This Brutality doesn't need to be overly gory to demonstrate how painful it is. While it's rare to see it performed, considering how difficult it is, it is still a great way to introduce a violent character from outside the games into the Mortal Kombat universe, and demonstrate that they can stack up to the competition.
