Science fiction and fantasy are two popular genres of games. Games like Mass Effect, Days Gone, and Halo have highlighted popular tropes in the sci-fi genre. Meanwhile, Breath of the Wild and Elden Ring are great examples of how fantasy games have evolved over the years.

However, fans looking to combine both genres in one have plenty of options. Science fantasy is a hybrid genre that combines elements from both fantasy and sci-fie. Games in this genre will often take place in worlds where supernatural occurrences can be backed by science. Star Wars, Borderlands, Death Stranding, and Warhammer are just a few examples of science fantasy in video games. There are plenty of great stories and characters to find within this genre.
