For a long time, fans of Berserk were in the dark about the future of the series. With Kentaro Miura suddenly passing away, it looked very likely that Berserk would never reach its conclusion. Luckily for the fans, Kouji Mori, one of Miura's closest friends announced that he would be supervising the manga.
This would help to complete Miura's Magnum Opus and solidify his legacy. At the moment, there are a lot of unfinished storylines in Berserk and the readers cannot wait to see these mysteries getting unraveled.
8 Skull Knight's Backstory
The Skull Knight is one of the most influential characters in the series. He has made a handful of appearances in the story, but it is unknown how he came into existence. He has aided Guts numerous times already, but his motive still remains unclear.
The Skull Knight is incredibly powerful, and his strength has helped him fight apostles for centuries. He possesses the Sword of Behelit, which is capable of cutting space. The apostles and the God Hand seem to be very wary of the Skull Knight's strength, which raises the question of how did he get his hands on such power.
7 What Is God Hand/Evil's Plan
Currently, the God Hand consists of five members, and they are all extremely powerful. The members include— Void, Slan, Ubik, Conrad, and Femto. The newest member to join the God Hand was Femto better known as Griffith, and he was able to join after he had sacrificed almost the entire Band of Hawk.
The God Hand have the power to create new apostles, which is why the apostles are scared of them. It is quite obvious that the God Hand rule over all the apostles, but it is unknown how they came into existence or what their goals are.
6 Moonlight Boy
The Moonlight Boy is one of the biggest mysteries in Berserk. He has only appeared a few times in the story, and because of this, there is very little information available about him.
The Moonlight Boy looks human, but his od is different from other humans, which suggests that the boy might have some special powers. He was also able to free Guts' mind when the latter was using the Berserker armor.
5 How Will Guts Defeat Griffith
Guts and Griffith used to be the best of friends, but things rapidly changed once Guts left the Band of Hawk. Griffith was unable to handle Guts leaving, and it caused him to make the foolish decision. Griffith went into Princess Charlotte's room, and when this incident came to light, Griffith was thrown into prison and tortured.
Griffith wanted revenge so during the eclipse he sexually abused Casca, out of spite. Guts witnessed all these events and he was enraged, but at that time he couldn't do anything about it. Since then, Guts has come a long way and he has defeated numerous apostles, but it looks impossible to take down Griffith.
4 Rickert's Future
Rickert used to be a member of the original Band of Hawk. He is one of the lucky characters who survived the eclipse. Rickert is a genius prodigious blacksmith, who managed to hone his skills under Godot.
After the combination of the two worlds, entire lands were overrun by monsters, and in order to protect Erica, Rickert decided to take refuge in Falconia. After seeing the apostles and their behavior, Rickert was mortified. When he met Griffith, he slapped the latter and left Falconia, which is the last the readers saw of him.
3 Rivalry of Skull Knight and Zodd
The Skull Knight and Zodd have been rivals for ages. Both of them are ridiculously powerful characters, and they have a lot of secrets surrounding them. It is unclear how the two of them became rivals.
There is a possibility that they were rivals before they turned into otherworldly beings. A lot of readers believe that the Skull Knight is actually Gaiseric, so it is possible that Zodd used to be Gaiseric's rival. Before the story ends, the readers definitely want to see the long-standing rivalry come to an end.
2 Who Is Guts' Father

There is little to no information available regarding the biological family of Guts. He was found near the corpse of his mother by Shisu. Shisu took him in and cared for him until she passed away. Guts was raised by Gambino, who taught him how to fight.
There has been no mention of Guts' real father in the story whatsoever, and it seems that he has been conveniently left out for some reason. It may be a long shot, but it is possible that Guts' father could be a legendary figure.
1 Will Guts Lose His Group Again?
The eclipse for a horrific event for Guts and the other members of the Band of Hawk. Most of them were slaughtered by the monsters and the few that survived were traumatized for life. The Band of Hawk were the closest to a family for Guts and losing them caused him a great deal of grief.
Guts believed that he would never get close to another group of people, but he was proven wrong. As his quest for revenge continued, Guts made several new friends, and they helped him in many ways. Since his last group of friends suffered a tragic end, there will be doubts in the minds of fans regarding the future of Guts' current group.
