Demon Gaze EXTRA is a remake of the PlayStation Vita game Demon Gaze. Similar to the original game, Demon Gaze EXTRA is a dungeon crawler, all about going through an intricate path the game has to offer, all the while fighting and capturing demons.

Many players who are familiar with the original game have been diving into Demon Gaze EXTRA. However, the game is not an easy one, and many players have ended up getting stuck during game play. Some players may need a few tips and tricks to guide them onto the right path for their game play.

7 Remember To Buy Nameless Gems

Demon Gaze Extra - Two people together

In short, Nameless Gems are considered the most common of gems in Demon Gaze EXTRA. These gems are considered to be a good investment because, when bought or found, they will give the player a random prize after being used.

Although these prizes will usually be something that's low in level, it is still a great investment for players who are low on funds, and need a prize to sell off after returning from dungeons. There is no downside to buying Nameless Gems, and they can always help the player turn a nice profit or two.

6 Have Enough To Pay Rent

While it is considered a good idea to stock up on high level equipment and all sorts of Gems, a player should still remember to have enough money to pay the rent of their inn room.

The player will be charged rent every time they walk back into their inn room (which is going to become especially painful, as rent increases every time a player walks through the door). It is a good idea to ensure that the player has everything prepared by the time they leave, and that they always have enough money to cover rent.

5 Level Up Before Going To Bosses

Demon Gaze EXTRA is not an easy game. A player will not be able to get by during boss battles just from the experience that they get from random encounters; there will be leveling up (or "grinding") necessary.

It will be a good idea (if not downright necessary at times) for a player to start going for extra levels before they start going up against particularly hard bosses. Even if the player can fight them without the levels, being stronger will just make it easier to go through the fights in the game.

4 Grab A Healing Staff Quickly

Demon Gaze Extra - Fighting three enemies

Healing, as always, is going to be a necessary part of Demon Gaze EXTRA. Luckily, a player can buy a Healing Staff rather early on in the game, and that will start to take care of the healing aspect for them.

Even when the player's team will inevitably been made too strong for the Healing Staff to be useful in battle, a player can still use this staff outside of battle for free healing. There is no downside to buying a healing staff; it is useful at any point in time in the game.

3 Remember To Use Holy Shield

Demon Gaze Extra - Talking to Fran

There will be a dedicated healer in the player's team. This healer, along with being able to use the Healing Staff for a while, will also soon learn Holy Shield; this skill absorbs a certain amount of damage (and the amount that's absorbed increases with the level).

It's a great idea for a player to set this up every turn they can, no matter what else happens. Bosses deal a lot of damage, and even a little bit of a shock absorb will be useful in ensuring the player's survival to kill off the boss.

2 Use Demons In Normal Battles

Demon Gaze Extra - Crawling through the dungeons

One of the largest parts of Demon Gaze EXTRA is the fact that the player will be able to summon demons to aid them in battle. A player will have to use their Demon Gauge in order to summon them; luckily, the amount of the gauge that is used by summoning demons is offset by how much it increases every turn.

There is no shame in using the demons even in regular battles. They are incredibly strong, and can really turn the tide of a battle with high damage.

1 Hit Rates Are Necessary To Focus On

Demon Gaze Extra - A character with no other choice

There are two stats that players may not realize are quite important to game play until it is too late. These two stats are Hit Rate and Evasion; Hit Rate, as to be expected, increases the player's chances of actually landing their attacks on enemies, while Evasion increases their chances of not taking damage from an enemy.

There are enemies with high Evasion chances in the game, so having spells that raise Hit Chance is preferable. Along with this, it's always good to have high Evasion, to decrease the player's chances of being hit too hard by an enemy.

Demon Gaze EXTRA is available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
