The Spirit and the Mouse is a fun adventure game for the light-hearted gamers out there. Players take control of Lila the mouse, and explore a quaint French village in search of new friends. The puzzle platformer puts players in the middle of a village named Sainte-et-Claire and lets players, as Lila, complete quests to bring electricity back to the village.

10 Listen To The Villagers

The village of Sainte-et-Claire has many houses that tell different stories of the people living in them. Lila, the mouse, can go around the village of Sainte-et-Claire in a quest to help humans who are facing their own problems.

From a grumpy old man who is worried about his fridge that rings the doorbell when it is opened, to a sweet lady who has lost her favorite scarf to the wind, there are plenty of charming quests that Lila can take up in the game.

9 Grab The Scarf From The Top Of The Lightning Rod

Don’t let the Lila's size get in the way of completing quests. She is very fast when it comes to moving through the city. Players can easily jump across ledges with the push of a button.

One of the earliest missions in the game involves retrieving a scarf from the top of a lightning rod. Players can follow the navigation icon at the top of the screen to inch closer to the scarf while running across the beautiful city of Sainte-et-Claire. Get to the roof of the building in South Square to retrieve the scarf.

8 Befriend Lumion

Beginners are in for a literal shock after trying to retrieve the scarf from the top of the lightning rod. Lila is hit by a lightning bolt after trying to unhook the scarf and is sent tumbling down to the streets of Sainte-et-Claire.

Lumion, the Spirit Guardian, wakes Lila up from her fall and tells her that she is now charged with electrical energy. Players can use the newfound electric energy from Lumion to pass through Electrical Wireboxes to gain access to restricted locations in. Shock the lightning rod to free Lumion.

7 Check The Quest Journal Frequently

The quiet village of Sainte-et-Claire can be huge for a tiny mouse to navigate across without having the right directions. From South Square to the East Street, there are various destinations that Lila can visit in the game.

New players who feel puzzled by the gameplay of The Spirit and the Mouse can find it confusing to find the locations they need to get to. People can open their quest journal at any point in the game to get clues about their quests.

6 Fix The TV Signal On East Street

Lila will come across Michael sitting at a cafe on East Street. He is worried about missing the premier of a TV show due to poor signal transmission to the TV in the cafe. Louis informs Michael that he can’t fix the TV signal since he lost the keys to the roof a few weeks earlier.

Lila, however, can fix the TV signal by herself. Find the Kibblin-Box at the top of the Cafe on East Street to fix the TV signal. Michael can watch his TV show on time after fixing the TV signal. Michael’s Happiness, which he expresses after fixing the TV signal, will help strengthen Lumion.

5 Shock Glowing Objects To Collect Energy

Players will find that the village of Sainte-et-Claire is decorated with many objects that catch Lila's attention. Pay attention to glowing objects kept around the village. Lila can approach these glowing objects and shock them to collect energy.

People can shock potted plants to collect energy while completing quests. Other glowing objects in the game include hidden sockets and water kettles. Hidden sockets can provide up to 30 energy charges at once.

4 Disable Kibblins' Camouflage

Players can disable the Kibblins' Camouflage by providing 25 energy to the Kibblin-Box in East Street. The two Kibblins in East Street will become visible after interacting with the Kibblin-Box. Once the Kibblins' Camouflage is deactivated, Lila can talk to the Kicable to find three antennas that need to be turned toward the cafe.

The first of the antennascan be found to the right of Kicable. Shock the antenna until it faces the cafe. The second antenna is near a street lamp on East Street. The third antenna is on the balcony of a house.

3 Help Kipost Put The Letters Back In Mailboxes

Kipost is the second Kibblin players need to approach on East Street. Talk to Kipost to start a new quest of finding fallen letters in East Street.

There are a total of 5 fallen letters on East Street. Find the fallen letters and interact with Kipost to put the letters back in the mailboxes. Once all the letters are found and put back into the mailboxes, Kipost and Kicable can be redirected to the Kibblin-Box.

2 Reboot The Kibblin-Box

Lila has to finish both Kipost and Kicable's quests before she can fix the TV signal for Michael. Once the three antennas are turned toward the cafe and the fallen letters are restored to their mailboxes, Lila can interact with Kipost and Kicable to send them back to the Kibblin-Box on East Street.

The quest doesn’t end there. Lila has to reboot the Kibblin-Box to restore electricity to the main antenna above the cafe. Once the status report from both the Kibblins is ready, the Kibblin-Box will supply a bolt of electricity that will fix the main antenna signal.

1 Collect Happiness & Return To Lumion

Collecting Happiness is a key aspect of the game. Beginners will need to collect Happiness after completing quests, and return it to Lumion to restore his strength. Lila can collect the first Happiness after fixing the TV signal on East Street.

Players can head down to the ground near the cafe to see a cutscene, showing Michael's delight about being able to watch his TV show. Finish watching the cutscene to receive a glowing heart that is placed on the ground outside the cafe. Approach the glowing heart to collect Happiness and return to the top of the lightning rod to offer it to Lumion.
