Let there be carnage. As mentioned previously, Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed allows split-screen cooperative play as players take become Crypto and ‘friend’. Players will be able to enjoy the various locations together in free play or taking on side missions and challenges.

Alternatively, friends can play through the entire storyline of the game should they want to. Playing the game on Steam will grant the ability for players to enjoy the game locally or an owner can use Steam Share to invite another player into their game without them having to own a copy. Whatever floats the Furon.

4 Complete That Main Story

Whether solo or with a friend, it’s advised that players hash through the main storyline first before dabbling any deeper. By completing the main campaign, players will have access to more or better weaponry, abilities, upgrades, locations, etc, if not all. With all the unlocked equipment, players can then free roam with their mega arsenals unopposed.

Depending on the difficulty, players can expect to complete the main storyline in about 11-14 hours. The main game contains over 30 story missions and players can expect some segments to be more difficult than others. As players progress and unlock new areas, they will get to see their powers and arsenal expand, and who doesn’t want that?

3 How To Do Upgrades

Map awareness is usually key to getting all that important intel. Though a casual game, players who pay attention to what’s on their map will usually get the goods first. Yellow symbols represent the main objectives whilst white ones and diamonds represent side ones. Getting ahead means getting the right upgrades. To do this, players need to get the most use out of the Gene Blender (which can be tricky) and it’s all about attacking those associated buildings.

Players are advised to focus on getting the blue Furotech Reactors. Whilst extremely rare, these items will speed up weapon and armor upgrades allowing players to stay in the fight for longer periods. Players should have a clear look at what upgrades should be prioritized first as once committed, these reactors are gone (although they can be refunded using some brain juice). Players can also take time between missions and carry out some good old fashion abductions to increase their supply of valuable genetic mass for the gene blender.

2 Get Saucy With The Saucer

Destroy All Humans! 2 Reprobed Gameplay

When players aren’t on the ground zapping unsuspecting pedestrians or incinerating cannon fodder, they’ll be taking to the skies with their trusty flying saucer. The saucer is another way players can reign fury down below as it is equipped with several weapon variants to satisfy each player’s desire for destruction. It's the perfect sci-fi icing on the top.

Like its predecessor, each area will have several landing zones for Crypto to spawn down in. Players will need to explore and discover each of the hidden landing zones to unlock them and use them in the future. To do so, players will need to complete tasks for the Furon god, Arkvoodle. Although the saucer is great for destruction and for traveling about, players should also take note of Crypto’s SKATE ability. The ability allows players to get around maps quicker and out of hectic encounters with humans. Nice!

1 Juice Up That PK

Apart from all the brilliant weapons available, Crypto also has access to some dastardly devious mental powers that will allow him to blend in with the crowds, erase memories, and hurl bodies into electrical grids. PK or Psychokinetic abilities represent the real fun in the Destroy All Humans franchise.

Though players will be able to hurl unsuspecting citizens and enemies alike around like ragdolls, PK also does a lot more. When upgraded, players will be able to hurl vehicles, machines, and tanks around with ease which is not only entertaining to do but can also prove to be a lifesaver in dicey situations. Objects (explosive ones) can also be thrown into the mix to spice things up. Though the PK bar starts low, players should upgrade this specific ability and let the mayhem commence.

Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed launches August 30 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
