Crime Boss: Rockay City is not just a traditional FPS experience. The game's various complex mechanics may be difficult for some newer players to work their way around. In the end, it is all about taking as much money as possible, but it is not quite that simple. A variety of obstacles and random events can occur, and players must manage their territories and deal with an army of gun-wielding criminals.
Be aware that Crime Boss: Rockey City has a permadeath feature, so if the main character, Baker, dies, players will have to return to the very start of the story. Likewise, any companions the player hires to bring on missions can be killed permanently too, if not revived in time.
8 Different Heist Types
Crime Boss: Rockay City has three main types of heist as part of its main campaign: Standard Robberies, Turf Wars, and Large Heists. The standard robberies will primarily be used to generate income for the gang and help to upgrade equipment, as well as unlock larger heists and allow the gang to challenge for new territories.
Turf Wars will generate income too, depending on how much and which specific areas are held at any given time. Large Heists are the set-pieces of the story, with more dramatic and intense scripted events than the other heists — as well as more rewards.
7 Making Money
In order to make heists available or capture new territories in Rockay City, players will need a source of income, and eventually will need a substantial income in order to tackle some of the games later challenges. 6 Leveling Up
There are several playable characters as part of the player's crew, but the main one who newer players will want to focus on leveling is Travis Baker. As the main character, his death will reset the entire story, forcing many hours of work to come undone.
Basic perks such as Toughen Up, which will increase Travis' base health, and Comeback King, which will grant him more revives, are excellent early investments. Crew members will also each come with their own unique perks, and these can be upgraded to ensure that team members remain as combat-effective as possible, even when faced with tougher enemies.
5 Stealth Is Key
For each mission, even low-level robberies, it is usually better to try to complete them as stealthily as possible. While this is not always achievable, particularly when playing with AI companions rather than co-op players, it can be very damaging and slow down players progress if they are continually getting into firefights as each available opportunity.
Sneaking and bagging bodies, as well as, disposing of them appropriately will lessen the chances of an engagement, because as soon as one enemy is alerted to the player's presence, a lot more will begin spawning from almost every conceivable angle in multiple waves.
4 Boss Levels

In addition to expanding and capturing new territories, along with all the benefits that come with them, players will also have to remain wary of rival gangs trying to recapture and contest these same territories.
Both money and soliders will be required in order to capture new territories, while additional soldiers will need to be left behind to defend previously captured territories. Finding a balance of offensive and defensive forces will be key to capturing the entirety of Rockay City, which is ultimately the objective of the game.
