Nintendo of America released a brand-new Bayonetta 3 music video featuring the game's theme song to its official YouTube channel. Bayonetta 3 is the latest entry in the prolific action game series developed by PlatinumGames, and players will soon learn more about the protagonist's upbringing in a new game.

The beloved Umbra Witch Bayonetta returns in Bayonetta 3 to take down an evil force capable of destroying universes, the Homunculi. She's joined by Viola, a witch in training who fights with a katana, and Cheshire, Viola's companion. Bayonetta fights around the world and encounters an entire coven of unique Bayonettas who also wish to protect the natural order of the universe. The game's theme song, "We Are As One," reflects Bayonetta's journey in Bayonetta 3 and the closing of an action-packed trilogy.

Nintendo uploaded the "We Are As One" Bayonetta 3 music video performed by Rachael Hawnt to its YouTube channel. Hawnt is a talented vocalist and lyricist who also won Series One of the British talent series, "Starstruck." The 7-minute music video switches between the recording process and clips of Bayonetta 3 while Hawnt performs the theme song. Additionally, the music video features lyrics for those who want to sing along with Hawnt or perform a cover. Nintendo encourages fans to play Bayonetta 3 before watching the music video due to potential spoilers, however.

The "We Are As One" music video promotes Bayonetta 3 once more before the launch of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and The Lost Demon this March. The upcoming title will delve into Cereza's backstory as she undergoes Umbra Witch training to ultimately become the Bayonetta fans know today. Nintendo and PlatinumGames will welcome new and returning players alike in a story driven adventure title, which is a departure from the traditional action-based Bayonetta 3.

Lawnt's stunning vocals in the Bayonetta 3 music video highlights her own talent while reminding players about their own journey through the critically acclaimed action game. Bayonetta 3's theme song pulls on the heartstrings of some players who eagerly anticipate a fourth entry in the main series while others await what's to come in the Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and The Lost Demon prequel. Nintendo should continue to pursue talented singers like Rachael Lawnt for future Bayonetta entries and spin-offs.

The music video's glowing reception reinforces the positive impact Bayonetta 3 left on longtime fans of the franchise. Nintendo and PlatinumGames will have high expectations to meet in a potential Bayonetta 4 game, and a stellar soundtrack should be a priority once again.

Bayonetta 3 is available now for Nintendo Switch.
