The CW superhero series Batwoman has been making headlines lately, both for story developments and behind-the-scenes bombshells. This includes the reveal of what Bruce Wayne looks like in the Arrowverse, which was a monumental moment for The CW shows, to say the least. Bruce Wayne in the Arrowverse looks like many fans would have guessed, but Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries originally imagined a different look for the iconic character.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Dries explained that she originally pictured Christian Bale as the Arrowverse Batman, and for a couple of different reasons. For one, Dries enjoys Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, and secondly, she never had a reason to think of who she would like to actually cast in the role. That's because live-action DC comics shows on The CW generally have a strict rule about not showcasing Batman or Bruce Wayne in any significant capacity.

Batwoman has generated quite a bit of buzz lately for its decision to reveal what Bruce Wayne looks like in the Arrowverse, but it's also gotten some buzz for some behind-the-scenes drama. As it turns out, Ruby Rose has left Batwoman, and she won't be reprising the role for the upcoming second season. So far, no reason has been given by anyone involved with Batwoman to explain Rose's abrupt departure.
