The newest addition to the Battletoads franchise just recently dropped for both PC and Xbox One, bringing along a toad-load of beat-'em-up nostalgia. The new title, called Battletoads, released on August 20, 2020, is filled with platforming and a ton of collectibles. In order to grab them all, the toads will have to solve some puzzles, including a particularly difficult one in Act 2, Scene 2.
In order to collect all the collectibles in Act 2 of Battletoads, players will have to take on some intense challenges. In stage 5, players will have to complete the level in a strict time limit, and stage 2 requires that players get all A-ranked fights. One of the collectibles in Stage 2 is inside of a vault, and players have to figure out a puzzle to break in.
The Vault Location
Players will first have to complete all the stages in Act 1 of Battletoads, then move onto Act 2. Towards the end of stage 2, there will be a "dead end" with a lever. Players will have to defeat several electric circuit puzzles first, so they'll need to be in a puzzle mindset for this entire stage. After the dead-end will be a shop, then the vault will be up next. The Solution to the Puzzle
Players can easily run right by this puzzle and miss the Battletoads collectible inside, so make sure to keep an eye out. For each of the items at the bottom of the screen, there is a symbol associated with it in the item shops. Players need to match the symbol with the item from the chalkboard in the same order. Either players can head back to an item shop after taking a screenshot, or they can check out the solution to the puzzle below and skip the extra step.
Once all the symbols are correctly put into the vault, players will be able to interact with the safe to the right of the screen. Inside will be a collectible, so pick that up and finish the stage. Players can then continue their game, punching more enemies and wrecking even more turbo bikes.
At the end of this level, Battletoads players will also have to defeat a difficult boss, so collect as many bugs as possible and stay vigilant. Players will want to ensure that their battles are all A-ranked, including the boss, to help them collect the next collectible for this level.
