In varying degrees of success, the Battlefield franchise has always strived to give players a ludicrous amount of freedom over how they can dismantle attacking enemy forces. Battlefield 5 is no different in this regard. Should one decide to keep their boots firmly on the ground to offer sniper support from afar, they can do so. The same outcome can also be said for those who want to take control of a tank in Battlefield 5 and blow up enemy planes. Now, one player impressively takes the fight to the skies and, in just over a minute, they leave behind a flaming trail of destruction made up of the entire enemy plane team.
For the uninitiated, because of the recent Battlefield 2042 incredibly low user rating, millions of players are re-visiting older entries in the franchise to get their destructive Levolution fix. However, out of all the previous games to choose from, it would appear the masses are taking the shine to the popular yet controversial 16th entry in the franchise, Battlefield 5. Although this entry goes back to the past, Battlefield 5 is loaded with modern tropes that fans love, with most matches evolving into a bloody symphony of explosions and gunshots. On top of this, planes from Battlefield 1942 also made a shocking return and handle better than ever.
Player PICTA4 has posted a brief one and a half minute-long clip onto Reddit that shows a speedy aerial takedown being served in the game. Leaving many users stunned at another insane Battlefield 5 killing spree achievement, the video shows the player darting through the air on Wake Island, a map that was introduced in the fifth Tides of War chapter. All is cool sailings until an opposing enemy plane unleashes a hail of lead upon PICTA4.
Despite the odds stacked against them already, PICTA4 does not go down or flee. Instead, they stand their ground to take on the foreboding fighter plane with just the weapons in their inventory and blast them from the sky. While this would be an impressive Battlefield 5 feat already, PICTA4 takes it to the next level by further hunting down the rest of the enemy team. Remarkably, they manage to come out on top by scouring to each corner of Wake Island and surprising each enemy with a shower of bullets.
After uploading the extravaganza filled clip to Reddit, the post scored over 300 upvotes as many users stopped by to applaud PICTA4 on their achievement. Hopefully, with Battlefield 5's popularity rising, players can expect more crazy clips like this to appear, leading to a renaissance of players using the solid Battlefield 5 mechanics for user-created content.
