Battlefield V has a brand new update coming in soon, called the Into the Jungle update. It kicks off shortly, and there's a lot of hype surrounding some of the updates that will be eventually be included. One of these is something players have been requesting for a long time: tank customization.

With the next Battlefield game looking like it won't be available until 2021, players are instead looking forward to the latest updates to the Battlefield V. The game is currently in Chapter 5, but Chapter 6 and the Into the Jungle update will be available February 6th. Once Chapter 6 is up and running, Battlefield is planning to add even more content with its 6.2 update later on in the month. This will include the customization that players have been asking for.

Battlefield V update 6.2 will introduce tank customization for the EA DICE game. On Twitter, the customization process was teased with a prototype of what the process might look like when it's rolled out for players. While it might change a little before it is released for the public, it looks like a fully customizable tank system that will really let players have unique looks for their heavy artillery. Hopefully this will open to door for even more customization options for other things in Battlefield 2021, like the drones.

Now that Chapter 5 Pacific Theater is coming to a close, this will be a great next step for Battlefield V. There is a reason players have been asking for these upgrades for a long time; there is something special about being able to alter the look of the weapons, armor, and vehicles in games. Hopefully, the cosmetic system will allow players to earn cosmetics by playing the game instead of microtransactions. So far, with what little the devs have spoiled, it looks like there will be a ton of options for those who want truly unique tanks for themselves.

However, given the history of EA titles, these will most likely be transactions that will require real world money rather than playtime. Overpriced microtransactions are in so many games, and EA is pretty infamous in the video game community for charging players for all sorts of in-game items and cosmetics. While there's nothing inherently wrong with microtransactions, hopefully there will be some ways for players who can't or won't spend money for cosmetics to earn some cool tank upgrades as well.

Battlefield V is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
