A Battlefield 4 player manages to snipe their opponent out of a helicopter by firing a skillfully timed shot from a rocket launcher. Battlefield 4 is nearly a decade old in 2023, but thousands of players around the world still continue to support the game on consoles and PC.

Many fans fondly remember Battlefield 4 as the first entry in the series for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Battlefield 4's multiplayer is balanced while still offering frantic gunfights and a variety of destructive maps that the Battlefield series is known for. Some players have even gone back to Battlefield 4 to experience the series at its peak once more following the troubled launch of Battlefield 2042. This past December, former Battlefield 4 producer David Sirland returned to DICE as a newly hired lead producer in order to help the franchise move forward in a positive direction. As fans wait for what may come next in the Battlefield series, some have discovered new ways to defeat enemy players in Battlefield 4.

Reddit user Littlepsycho41 managed to land a ridiculous long-distance shot from their RPG-7V2 onto an enemy helicopter pilot while playing Conquest in Battlefield 4's Dawnbreaker map. The rocket launcher shot precisely landed on the pilot's body, leaving the helicopter intact instead of causing it to explode. As shown in Littlepsycho41's Reddit post, this accurate RPG shot allowed the user to commandeer the helicopter after it gracefully floated down to the ground.

Battlefield 4's physics engine allows for rocket launcher projectiles and grenades to kill on direct impact with an enemy player's body. In this case, the rocket shot from the RPG-7V2 managed to kill the enemy player without hitting a solid surface on the helicopter. Skilled players may snipe enemies out of the sky with accurate and consistent shots from a sniper rifle, and the same may be done with some luck from a well-timed rocket. Similarly, Battlefield fans have managed to land incredible one shot kills in Battlefield 2042.

This new Battlefield 4 clip is another incredible highlight of what players can achieve in old Battlefield games that are still active. Battlefield 4 managed to become one of the most beloved games in the entire franchise despite experiencing a troublesome launch in 2013. Some players still choose to boot up Battlefield 4 on Steam instead of Battlefield 2042, which is the latest entry in the series.

Battlefield 2042 still has plenty of redeeming qualities, and DICE may improve the game even further by releasing more updates. PlayStation Plus subscribers may try Battlefield 2042 for free this month alongside Code Vein and Minecraft Dungeons.

Battlefield 4 is currently available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
