Fans of DICE's Battlefield 4 were quick to spot a mistake made by a news station where a photo from the game was being used in a story about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. A photo of the incident is now making the rounds online in the Battlefield 4 community, with several fans absolutely shocked by the error.

Battlefield 4 marked uncharted territory for both DICE and fans of the long-running first-person shooter series. Battlefield 4 was the first Battlefield title to be featured on next-generation consoles like Xbox One and PlayStation 4, propelling the franchise into the next age of video gaming. Battlefield 4 was released in 2013, following the incredibly popular Battlefield 3, which was released back in 2011. Despite its age, the game remains popular, with Battlefield 4 fans still showing off their insane clips from the game's multiplayer and story modes. However, Battlefield 4 re-entered online discussions for a very different reason recently, with a news station mistakenly using an image ripped right from the game.

DICE's Battlefield series currently rests in a very interesting spot, with Battlefield 2042, the most recent mainline entry, putting quite a lot of fans off the series entirely. While Battlefield 2042 shipped with impressive visuals and the series' famous blend of satisfying FPS gameplay and chaotic vehicle action, the game simply had too many problems for a lot of fans upon release. However, over two and a half years later, Battlefield 2042 appears to be in a fairly healthy state. Developers have promised to provide players with seasonal content, with recent sales on Steam helping stir up interest for those who may have held off from trying Battlefield 2042. Work is also well underway on the next Battlefield title, with EA moving development over from DICE to a new studio.
