Battlefield 2042 has recently released the notes for the 3.1.0 patch, dropping on December 7, which will include bug fixes for reload animations and audio, a rework of Manifest, and three new vault weapons. The notes on EA's website also talk about the next in-game event, which will apparently be coming to Battlefield 2042 in the coming weeks. These updates come after the third major update to 2042, which introduced a new map, new weapons, and gameplay improvements.

The latest installment in the Battlefield franchise had a not-so-satisfying release, but with the launch of 2042's Season 3, things are beginning to turn around. Free-to-play events have brought more players to the title, and the Battlefield Team has worked hard to listen to fan feedback. In that spirit, the 3.1.0 update works to improve more aspects of the game.

Indeed, many of the recent Battlefield games have been misses for the franchise. Fortunately, It seems that EA and DICE are focused on fixing the latest title rather than abandoning it. Season 3 has brought a lot of great content to 2042, including a new set of weapons and vehicles, a new map, a map rework, and exciting events. There are still some issues with the title, however, and Battlefield's upcoming patch will fix animations and audio problems that have been affecting players lately. The patch will also add new vaulted weapons from previous franchise titles and will introduce the Manifest map rework into the game.

Along with information on the update, EA has also confirmed that Season 3's mid-season event is coming soon. It will last for three weeks, with each week bringing a new mode and new cosmetics. This information is being announced during Battlefield 2042 free access days, which have allowed players on Steam, Xbox Game Pass, and PlayStation to try the newest installment in the franchise for a limited time.

For all their effort, the Battlefield 2042 Team seems to be making some progress. The player count has been steadily rising, and it was recently confirmed that Battlefield 2042 will be getting Seasons 4 and 5. There is still a long way to go, however. Many fans are waiting for the January update, which will finally reintroduce the classic Battlefield class system in Battlefield 2042. Until then, though, it is certainly nice to see that DICE is continuing to dedicate itself to creating good content for the fans of the Battlefield franchise.

Battlefield 2042 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
