The Support class is one of the most important classes for good team compositions in BattleBit Remastered. With 254 players running through open fields and bombed-out cities, bullets will be flying all over the battlefield. The game's hardcore ammo economy means that ammo needs to be conserved as much as possible. The Support class is the only one able to resupply their team's ammo and explosive munitions. The class also gets access to the heaviest armor in the game, making it a veritable juggernaut against other infantry troops.

One of the most important distinctions of the Support class is the unique primary weapons that it gets to wield, fulfilling another niche in BattleBit Remastered. Much like the Recon class has exclusive access to Sniper Rifles and Marksman Rifles, the Support class is the only class that has access to Light Support Guns and LMGs. These weapons feature large magazines and are capable of laying down heavy suppressing fire to allow teammates to push up toward objectives. The following are some of the best Light Support Guns and LMGs in the game, allowing players to turn into hailstorms of lead on the battlefield.

4 L86A1

As the Light Support gun that all players start out with in BattleBit Remastered, it stands to reason that the L86A1 would be outclassed by its peers. Even still, it's a solid weapon with decent stats that helps acclimate new players to the roles of the Support class. L86A1 functions as a type of hybrid between an assault rifle and a light machine gun. This weapon does a great job at fulfilling the Support's role of suppressing enemy infantry.

The L86A1 is very accurate and has a high rate of fire. Some players might be bothered by the iron sights obscuring too much of their vision, but this is easily mitigated by using the weapon for a little bit and unlocking a Red Dot, Reflex, or Kobra sight. There are great medium-range scope options as well, and players can choose a reliable ACOG sight for when the L86A1 needs to perform in longer-range engagements.

The biggest drawback this weapon has is without a doubt its magazine size—the default magazine only packs 30 rounds, which run out quickly when Support players are firing down range. Luckily, the L86A1 can unlock a 55-bullet drum mag, making it a solid pick no matter what.

3 Ultimax100

Ultimax100 light machine gun with steel camo, featuring stats and bullet damage drop off.

As the final weapon unlock for the Support class, the Ultimax100 is a fairly underwhelming weapon. If this light machine gun was unlocked earlier in BattleBit Remastered's level progression system, it might be a more useful addition to players' arsenals, but as it stands, this weapon will be outclassed by other guns with more attachments unless players really want to put in the work to grinding out kills with this LMG. It has many negative attributes that are only somewhat evened out by several unique variables that could allow it to shine in the right circumstances.

The Ultimax100 features a very low 29 damage per round, with the lowest fire rate of any Support primary, and a first-shot recoil that kicks like a mule. Getting a good suppressing fire started with the Ultimax100 is a pain, because the recoil makes it tough to control until the bipod attachment is unlocked.

On the other hand, this weapon does a fantastic 5 light armor damage per shot and has far better horizontal recoil control and reload time than the M249. If players are attacking positions they know many armored infantry units are in, the Ultimax100 might be the best choice for them.

2 MG36

MG36 light support gun with drum magazine, angled grip, and red dot sight. Digital polar camo. Featuring stats and bullet damage drop off.

The superior light support gun, the MG36 is unlocked early enough in the level progression system to still feel like an incredibly impactful weapon pick. As players hit level 50, most of the meta weapons are still locked off behind the progression system. The MG36 is a fantastic Light Support gun that bucks this trend, allowing players to play the Support role far more aggressively than any other loadout would be able to.

The MG36 outshines the L86A1 in almost every way. This weapon has more damage per shot and a more controllable fire rate, allowing it to be useful in almost every firefight. The magazine size is much larger than the L86A1's, too, with the default magazine packing 40 rounds, and the drum magazine attachment having a whopping 60 rounds. The biggest downsides to the MG36 are the intense recoil and the lengthy reload times, but its speedy time-to-kill is more than enough to offset those flaws.

1 M249

M249 light machine gun with digital grey camo, featuring stats and bullet damage drop off.

The M249 is the apex predator of the Support class. It is a lead storm—a bullet hose with better stats than the Ultimax100, unlocked at the modest player level 20. This weapon is not just the best Support primary—if players utilize it properly, it is one of the best weapons in the entire game.

Boasting a respectable 30 damage per shot, the M249 is likely to put down most enemies with only 3–4 rounds. With a magazine size of 100 bullets and a fire rate of 700, the M249 is a real threat down tight chokes. The weapon's damage only starts dropping off around 200 meters away from the player, so it's easily capable of midrange combat. With low recoil and some armor-penetrating capabilities, the only real downside to the M249 is the lengthy reload time.
