Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League – All Returning Arkhamverse Characters

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set five years after Batman: Arkham Knight, and here are all the returning characters players can find.

The best gadgets in Batman:Arkham Knight can be used in a variety of different ways, unlocking new variations of combat potential and puzzle mechanics that can be found throughout Riddler’s maddening puzzles. Whether players want to scare their foes, punch them, or pick up Riddler trophies, these gadgets are essential.

10 Line Launcher

Used To Set Up Vantage Points For Stealth Takedowns

batman using the line launcher

The Line Launcher has been a trusty and large gadget in Batman’s arsenal since Arkham Asylum, and it’s been consistently well-used for some puzzle mechanics, and even stealth situations. The Line Launcher can be used to create vantage points by standing on rope. The takedown potential is a lot of fun, as no matter how long Batman has been active, criminals and militias just seem to refuse to look up.

The Line Launcher isn’t the greatest, as it’s only a situational gadget that is reserved for stealth encounters. Players also usually have an arsenal of gargoyles to perch on, meaning they won’t need a Line Launcher rope to keep them above their targets.

9 Remote Hacking Device

Manipulate Electronic Devices

batman using the remote hacking device

The Cryptographic Sequencer has been retired in favor of the upgrade, the Remote Hacking Device. This small device allows Batman to hack into doors and other electronic devices, but the upgrade allows Batman to blind enemy drones and manipulate Stagg’s Airship. Players can detonate electronic equipment that can incapacitate enemies, leading to some fairly strategic superheroes.

The problem with the Remote Hacking Device is once again, it’s a situational device used for stealth sections and Riddler puzzles. It’s not a necessity in combat and stealth, so players can really take it or leave it.

8 Voice Synthesizer

Mimic Voices To Manipulate Enemies & Access Equipment

batman using the voice synthesizer

Another fancy gadget for Batman’s arsenal, the Voice Synthesizer is Arkham Knight’s version of the Sonic Batarang, as it can be used to synthesize the voice of a militia grunt or guard to manipulate them, convincing them that an ally is speaking to them. Players can point at a guard and then at where they want them to stand to play them like pawns and open them for attack.

The Voice Synthesizer is a stealth gadget, one that can help move enemies into a good takedown spot, or, used to aid in Riddler trophies with the Riddler Robots control. It’s a fun weapon to order enemies around with, but it’s only great in stealth where players have a gargoyle to hide on.

7 Disruptor

Disable Guns, Knockout Medics & Scanners

batman using the disruptor

The Disruptor was a great gadget for stealth, as players could choose their targets with their ammo count and decide which enemy they wanted to render useless. The Disruptor would disable guns without enemies knowing, and they could also entrap weapon crates, causing an electric shock to whoever tried to open them, thus locking enemies out of having more guns.

Rocksteady Studios has created some of the best superhero video games of all time, and perhaps the best is yet to come.

Even better still, Batman can use the Disruptor to stop alternate enemy types, like how Medics would be knocked out if they tried to revive allies, or the militia drones could be sabotaged and exploded. There were great uses for the Disruptor, but aiming it in the middle of combat isn’t the wisest idea.

6 Explosive Gel

Destroy Walls & Disorientate Enemies

The Explosive Gel isn’t going to take limbs off, but it’s certainly going to be painful. The Explosive Gel has been tweaked from previous games, and Batman doesn’t have to graffiti a bat logo on every surface this time, as he can just quickfire it like a gun to shoot at targets, sticking them with the gel and waiting for it to explode.

Upon detonation, the gel will disorientate enemies, causing them to stun and falter. It’s great in combat situations where players are overwhelmed, as they can space out their attacks by leaving enemies confused thanks to a quick shot with the Explosive Gel.

5 Smoke Pellets

Flood The Area With Smoke For Quick Takedowns

The Smoke Pellet is the perfect weapon for when Batman gets caught during stealth, or he has sustained too many injuries and needs a quick escape. With one press of the button, Batman throws down a single Smoke Pellet and will have enemies blindly punching within the smoke and coughing as they try and wait for it to dissipate.

During this time, Batman can quickly pull off a few takedowns within the smoke, or grapple out of there before taking an unpredictable punch from a wildly swinging enemy. The Smoke Pellet even recharges, so within intense combat and stealth encounters, players can keep using them every so often.

4 Remote Electrical Charge

Shock Enemies & Charge Up Generators

Found within the GCPD, players can collect the REC gun and enjoy its usefulness throughout Gotham City. Whether players are using it within Riddler’s puzzles, or for combat, the Remote Electrical Charge is an enjoyable gadget that can provide great use, and stunning thugs in combat have never been greater.

The REC gun can chain stun enemies, causing them to deal with an electric shock while Batman punches them or other enemies in their disorientation. It’s also a great weapon to counter some enemies, as they can be thrown back from the charge.

3 Freeze Blast

Freeze Enemies During Combat

Freeze Blast In The Batman Arkham Series

Mister Freeze’s weaponry comes in handy for Batman, who can use the Freeze Blast to throw at enemies, to which the impact will cause them to freeze, encasing them in ice for a long while until they are freed, or Batman decides to punch them and shatter the ice, which will send them to the floor in quick succession.

Sealing opened vents and quick-firing at enemies in combat, the Freeze Blast is a necessity to Batman’s arsenal of gadgets, especially in situations where Batman is overwhelmed, as the Freeze Blast can detain enemies to stop an army approaching him all at once.

2 Batarangs

Knockout Charging Thugs & Stun Enemies

Batman Arkham Knight Batarang

The Batarang is the most iconic and comic-accurate gadget in Batman’s arsenal, and it seems that he has an infinite amount of them. Whilst sharp, they simply knock enemies out without cutting their throats. The Batarang can be used as a quickfire gadget, allowing Batman to throw up to three with rapid speed and precision, knocking enemies down and stunning them to make them vulnerable for a ground takedown.

Even better, Arkham Knight features enemies that will charge at Batman to tackle him to the ground. Hitting them with a batarang will instantly knock them out, providing him with one less foe to deal with thanks to his quick reflexes and sharp aim.

1 Batclaw

Pull Enemies In For A Harsh Attack

batman with the batclaw

Batman’s grapple device is by far his most important gadget. Outside of combat, the Batclaw can be used to grapple to buildings and propel himself upwards to glide around Gotham City. Without the Batclaw, Batman would have to climb a lot of buildings, and probably wouldn’t have the energy to fight the hordes of enemies that plunge Gotham into chaos.

Within combat, the Batclaw is essential, as it will pull enemies towards Batman for a quick and harsh attack. Even better still, enemies with an electrical current running through them could be countered with the Batclaw, allowing a better free flow of combat.
