How To Trigger The Flesh Is Weak Haunting Case In Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden

The Flesh is Weak Haunting Case is triggered automatically during the Hungry The Hunters Quest. You will find a blue torch with a red ribbon near a narrow entrance, which indicates a Campfire location in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Go inside to speak with Jacob, who is waiting for his friend Ben to return. However, the scenario is incredibly suspicious as the house is full of maggots and Jacob doesn’t seem bothered nor does he seem to remember how much time he spent in the cave.

Red and Antea decide to explore the mountains to investigate the quickmyst to learn more about the Haunting Case. Take the Rope from the barrel near the entrance and set forth north towards the narrow exit. Continue northeast and jump to the other wooden platform. Use the Rope to climb down the cliff into the quickmyst.

Switch to Antea as she's unbothered by the fog and cross the river. Then, go right towards the fallen tree log. Proceed forward then turn right to see a broken wooden bridge. Jump to the other side and destroy the odd-looking stalagmites to remove the quickmyst. Defeat the enemies in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and then do a Harkening Ritual using three Wild Chervil and one Lilac Hyacinth.

The Ritual allows Red and Antea to witness Benedict’s last moments. It turns out, that Jacob was blinded by anger and hunger so he took it out on Ben and pushed him off the cliff.

Where To Find Benedict's Body In Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden

Once the Harkening Ritual is over, go northeast and jump over the broken bridge, then head southwest and walk along the edge while staying close to the wall. Climb down the cliff and walk southeast to find Benedict’s corpse near the river.

Sadly, the body doesn’t seem to be left alone as there is some chunk of flesh carved from it, which only means that Jacob resorted to cannibalism to soothe his hunger. Since there is no tie, head back to Jacob’s cave to search for one.

Upon heading back, go inside and pick up the Bowl And Spoon to perform the Make-Manifest Ritual using Bowl and Spoon, three Wild Chervil, and two Hoof Fungus. Once Ben appears, speak with him to hear his side of the story.

Finally, confront Jacob about his wrongdoings to start the Closure event. Here, you have the option of either Blaming Jacob or Ascending/Banishing Benedict’s Spirit. Each of these options is tied to Antea’s destiny in one way or another, so choose whatever option is most suitable for you to complete The Flesh is Weak Haunting Case.
