Baldur's Gate Reviews

Not only have professional reviewers showered the Baldur's Gate trilogy with high marks, but the community has as well. There are many instances were the overall user score for a game is significantly different from the professional review score, typically due to review bombing efforts. But that's not the case with the Baldur's Gate games. The first game has an 8.9 user score, while both Baldur's Gate 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 have 9.2. So not only is the Baldur's Gate trilogy one of the highest-rated game trilogies from a professional reviews standpoint, but it's also one of the highest-rated game trilogies from a user score standpoint.

Baldur's Gate 3's lack of microtransactions, dizzying scope, and commitment to providing as entertaining of an experience as possible have helped it become one of the year's hottest games. And Baldur's Gate 3's story is far from over. Only the PC version of the game is available right now, but Baldur's Gate 3 is coming to PS5 next month with an Xbox port happening at some point later down the line.

Baldur's Gate 3 is out now for PC with a PS5 version releasing September 6. An Xbox version is also in development.
