Baldur's Gate 3 has enjoyed massive success in the weeks following its debut. The game has already seen huge concurrent player counts on Steam, peaking at nearly 900,000 two weeks after its launch. Now, Larian Studios is teasing a major update coming to Baldur's Gate 3 soon.
While Baldur's Gate 3 only released at the beginning of August, the RPG has already seen one big update making a variety of fixes to the game. Baldur's Gate 3's colossal Patch 1 update featured hundreds of fixes to several bugs found within the RPG, as well as balance adjustments for the many playable classes and races within the game. The first update for Baldur's Gate 3 was so large that the update's patch notes even exceeded the character limit on Steam. Now, the next update to the game could be equally sizable, according to the developer.
A post to the official Larian Studios Twitter account teases the massive update, sharing vague references to some of the changes included in Patch 2. Larian suggests the patch will feature "major improvements" to the game's performance, as well as a variety of "tweaks and changes" similar to those found in Patch 1. The post also suggests the developer will be making changes to Origin Character epilogues, taking into account feedback the studio has received from fans. No release date was given for the launch of Patch 2 for Baldur's Gate 3.
