A clever Baldur's Gate 3 player has discovered a build that can seemingly one-hit-kill just about any enemy in the game. While Baldur's Gate 3 is generally considered a tough game to beat, using this could make it a much easier experience from start to finish.

Creating the perfect build is one of the best parts of Baldur's Gate 3, because everyone has their own requirements for what they're looking for from a build. Some players just want the most overpowered build possible, allowing them to blast through the game at breakneck speed. Others impose restrictions on themselves for an extra challenge. Then there are players who create a character based on their other favorite franchises, like the Baldur's Gate 3 player who created a build based on Avatar's Aang. Players can take just about any direction they'd like with it, and it's a big part of the reason that Baldur's Gate 3 will remain popular for repeat playthroughs in years to come.

Baldur's Gate 3 Build Turns Tav Into Ahsoka Tano

A creative Baldur's Gate 3 player uses the game's powerful character creator to build a protagonist based on Star Wars' Ahsoka Tano.

Redditor CCYellow came up with the overpowered Baldur's Gate 3 build, which can make players instant-kill pretty much every enemy in the game. By using a few spells in the right order, players can blow all of the other overpowered Baldur's Gate 3 builds out of the water. The process is simple. First, players need to use Dominate Person on the enemy, making them an ally. Then, Polymorph needs to be cast on the new ally, turning them into a sheep with 3HP. Afterward, players then need to cast Gaseous Form on the sheep, and then hit them with any attack that does over three points of damage. Rather than reverting back to their original form, they'll die in an instant, no matter their previous level.

Instant Kill Build in Baldur's Gate 3

It should be noted that for this to work, it has to be done in that specific order. With some testing, CCYellow found that any other combination of the same Baldur's Gate 3 spells simply didn't work, describing it as "hilariously picky about how you go about it." They did also point out that this method doesn't work on Mizora or Withers, as the NPCs retain their passives while polymorphed, but broadly, this combination will work on most combatants in Baldur's Gate 3.

While Larian may largely be done with Baldur's Gate 3, with only patches and hotfixes to come going forward, the game still has plenty of gas left in the tank for the community. There's no doubt that players will be creating unique Baldur's Gate 3 builds for a long time to come, even after Larian has released its next few projects. It remains to be seen just what those titles will be, but Larian was recently hyping up its next two projects, so the studio clearly has a lot of faith in what's to come to be speaking in these terms this far out.
