Baldur's Gate 3: How To Romance Gale

Gale is an underrated romance option in Baldur's Gate 3. Here's how players can win this wizard's heart.

One such hidden buff is Rapture, which players can find in a location just outside of Baldur's Gate. This gives the player an impressive +6 to their attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. The catch is that it only lasts for one long rest, and it's not possible to get it a second time, so choose the timing for this useful buff wisely.

Find Naoise Nallinto

Travel to Sharess' Carress, a busy location in the southern part of Wyrm's Crossing, to find the NPC that can give the player a generous and useful Rapture Buff.

  • Sharess' Caress. A lot is going on in the local brothel, and no RPG is complete without a house of ill repute. This is where Tav can find an NPC named Naoise Nallinto, the source of the Rapture buff. She's located on the third floor of Sharess' Caress in a room called the Druid Grotto.
  • The Druid Grotto. Climb the stairs and cross the patio to the section on the other side of the Crossing. The door to the Grotto is locked, so the party needs someone with a decent Sleight of Hand ability and some Thieves Tools to get inside. They'll find Naoise with a client, Jara of the Flaming Fist, who recognizes the main character because they each have a tadpole.

When the party enters the room, it triggers Jara to transform into a Mind Flayer. The party has to fight the newborn Illithid and kill them. Then, speak to Naoise, and she can give them the buff.

If Naoise is attacked by the Mind Flayer and dies during the encounter, it's not possible to get this buff. Make sure to get between her and the Mind Flayer, which is just a newborn and not so difficult to take down.

The Rapture Buff

Naoise isn't fazed at all by the appearance of the Mind Flayer, the fight, or its death. She openly admires the creature's beauty, even in death, which she'll reveal during the conversation. Ask what she has in mind, and she'll answer with something called "Rapture."

She then asks what the player would prefer and offers several choices. Choose "Power," and Naoise will narrate a short story about the character's admirers along with their battle prowess and social standing. At the end of her dialogue, the character has the Rapture buff in Baldur's Gate 3.

Baldur's Gate 3 is available now on PC and PS5.
