While picking up the in-game items is easily done through the camp, the out-of-game freebies are less obvious in how they are found. Players who got the Digital Deluxe Edition upgrade, either for free or by paying for it, also receive the 43-track OST, a stunning artbook PDF, and Dungeons and Dragons character sheets for the Origin characters in Baldur’s Gate 3. These items can be found in the Steam install directory for Baldur’s Gate 3, already downloaded on their computer.

Players can navigate to their Steam directory manually via File Explorer by finding their Steam folder, usually in Program Files, and then go to steamapps, common, and then Baldur’s Gate 3. However, there is an easier way to find the Digital Deluxe Edition freebies for Baldur’s Gate 3:

  • Find Baldur’s Gate 3 in the Steam library.
  • Right click on it, and hit Properties.
  • Select “Installed Files” to open the Baldur’s Gate 3 folder.

As a word of caution, players should be careful exploring these Baldur’s Gate 3 Digital Deluxe Edition freebies right away. Some of the song titles in the soundtrack reveal subtle details of the plot, but the artbook has some major spoilers for characters, locations, and plot threads for every act in the game. Unless fans don’t mind having huge story details revealed ahead of time, they should steer clear of the artbook until they beat the game at least once.

That said, the artbook is definitely something players won’t want to miss out on. The Digital Deluxe freebie has some fantastic concept art for monsters, characters, and other aspects of Faerun and its denizens. With all sorts of added context and behind-the-scenes design details, players who can’t get enough of the massive world of Baldur’s Gate 3 should make sure to check out the book after they finish their first playthrough.

Baldur's Gate 3 is available now on PC with a PS5 version coming September 6. An Xbox version is also in development.
