While playing Baldur's Gate 3, you'll spend a lot of time in battles and adventures that will make you get dirty. Mud, blood, and even bruises will "decorate" your face with various patterns. Not all players like this, though, so luckily there are a few ways to clean your face in Baldur's Gate 3.

There are several options that you can use. The main ones are to rest or wash your face with water, but not all players know how to do it. Here's how to stay fresh and clean.

How to Get Rid of Dirt on the Body and Face

Shadowheart in BG3

If you are a perfectionist, or just prefer a neat appearance for your characters, then this topic is probably close to you. In general, there are two main methods to get rid of all the mud, blood stains, and other things that contaminate your character's face and body in Baldur's Gate 3.

Long Rest

The first and least practical method is to use the long rest option. To do this, click on the campfire button located in the lower-right corner of the screen. This will take you to your camp and allow you to walk around for a while, talk to others, reorganize your inventory, and more. Eventually, you can sleep. When you wake up, your character's face will be completely clean of any type of dirt.

You can use the long rest feature only once per day, and it will cost you 40 camp supplies to do so. If you want to use long rest only to wash your face, it is better to use the other option.

Use water

The second, more efficient option is to simply wash yourself with water. There are several ways you can do this:

  • Water bottle: The easiest option is to simply throw a water bottle at the feet of the character you want to make clean. Considering that it's a fairly common item, you shouldn't have any trouble finding one. This way, you can wash your characters almost anywhere.
  • Water spell: Similar to the previous option, you can use a spell to summon water instead of throwing bottles. The advantage of this method is that you don't need to clutter up your inventory with unnecessary items, and one powerful spell can cleanse your entire group.
  • Find a pond: If you are near a body of water, just direct your characters there. Once they enter the water, all the stains and dirt on their bodies will dissolve as if it were never there.
  • Reverse Rain Cloak: The best option of all is to get this cloak as a prize by spinning the Akabis Wheel at the beginning of Act 3. Then, simply put it on your preferred character to make them wet and wash them from stains accordingly. After that, you can take it off again and put on the cloak your character wore before.
