Baldur’s Gate 3 is an extensive game, heavily based on Dungeons & Dragons that sees the player immersed in a massive world, with much to explore and discover. Romancing is a beloved feature in Baldur’s Gate 3, and it allows the player to build a romantic relationship with a character of their choice. This is usually reserved for companions, but the player does have some options outside of that.

Wyll is a powerful character that can be an amazing companion throughout BG3.

One such option the player has to romance outside of their companions is Mizora, whom many might immediately recognize as Wyll’s patron. Romancing her is not as straightforward as other characters, and it can bring some bad consequences to be tempted by this devil.

Requirements To Romance Mizora

Mizora the cambion in Baldur's Gate 3

Mizora is Wyll’s patron, whom he has made a contract with. The player will first meet her early on in the game, in Act 1. Her character is involved in Wyll’s companion quest, Blade of Frontiers.

Romancing Mizora will not be an option available to the player from the get-go. To even have the option to romance her, the player must first wait for Act 3.

First and foremost, romancing Mizora does not work exactly like romancing other partners. Mizora does not have an approval rating of the player, as they rarely interact, to begin with.

Most importantly, the player must have Wyll as a companion, as him never being recruited or leaving the player will make romancing Mizora impossible.

To keep Wyll in the player’s party, the player needs to make sure to increase his approval, and to not participate in the extermination of the Tiefling refugees, as this will lead him to inevitably leave the player.

The player needs to also save Mizora during Act 2 in the Mind Flayer Colony. She will be in a pod and the player will need to use strength to free her. To even get there, the player will have to take on a quest given by Mizora herself, which asks the player to find Zariel’s Asset, which happens to be her.

Once the player reaches Act 3, they will need to go to Wyrm’s Rock Fortress. In that area, they will be able to find Mizora, specifically under the Audience Chamber. The player will need to speak to her. Speak to Mizora again after the coronation.

The player should then do a Long Rest. When that is done, Mizora will come to the player’s camp and propose to break Wyll’s contract, however, that would be in exchange for his father’s life. The decision taken here does not matter when it comes to romancing her.

After that, Mizora will stay at the camp. After a couple of Long Rests, there will be an exclamation point over her head. The player should go speak to her.

When talking to her, she will tell the player:

“You’re hungry for pleasure beyond these plans. Something more satisfying than mortal flesh, blood, bone.”

The player should select one of these options:

- “Sounds delicious. What are you suggesting?”

- “Smile”

With that, Mizora tells the player she’ll meet them tonight. To do that, the player will have to Long Rest again. During the night, the player will be visited by Mizora as promised. The player should pick one of these dialogue options:

Firstly:

- “Bask in the powerful sensations rising from the circle.”

And then either of these:

- “I’m ready. Bring me the pleasures of the Hells”

- “Sigh and brace yourself.”

And finally:

- Gorge on the River of Blood. Relish its flavor.

- Take a tentative sip.

Here the player can back up, however, if wanting to romance Mizora, continue. The player should note that if they’re already in a relationship with someone, doing this with Mizora will negatively affect their relationship, possibly breaking it off if it’s with someone like Gale, who’s extremely Monogamous, or simply upset with their partner if they’re with someone like Shadowheart.

Either way, it will definitely gain the disapproval of the player’s companions. The player can repair their relationship with some of the companions they’re with, but the player should be careful with this as it has consequences.

With the player deciding to romance Mizora, they need to pick “Step into Mizora’s outstretched wings.” to start their night with her.

When the player wakes up after their intense night with Mizora, Wyll is rightfully very upset, but this will not lead him to leave the player’s party.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available to play on PC and PlayStation 5.
