In Baldur's Gate 3, you will go up against a wide variety of enemies, each carrying their own Race, Class, and skill set. From magical attacks and spellcasting to vicious weapon blows, each fight has numerous obstacles that can pose a threat to your party, depending on your character builds and team composition.

Thankfully, there is a huge assortment of items that can be acquired throughout your Baldur's Gate 3 journey that can amplify the strengths of your Tav and companion characters, enabling you to function much more efficiently in battle or gain advantages against your opponents. Among the items available for these purposes, there is the Ring of Arcane Synergy, which enables the equipped character to deal extra damage when hitting a spellcaster with a physical weapon attack.

How to Get Ring of Arcane Synergy in Baldur's Gate 3

To gain the Ring of Arcane Synergy in Baldur's Gate 3, you will need to travel to the Githyanki Creche. To reach the Githyanki Creche, you will first need to complete the majority of quests and objectives available throughout Act 1. Once you are happy with your progress, you will then need to progress to the Mountain Pass area through one of the available openings.

Once you reach the Mountain Pass, journey down the hill, and you should eventually stumble upon a wooden elevator system. This system is the quickest way to reach the building that the Creche is located within, so participating in a Strength Check to get it working, and then using it to move your team down the hill is the next step you should take.

Once you land, you should find yourself outside a building known as Rosymorn Monastery. The Githyanki Creche is located inside the basement of this building, so the next step is finding a way inside. The quickest and easiest way to succeed in this is by using the vines on the side of the building to climb up to the rooftop and then cast a spell such as Feather Fall. This will now enable your party to jump from the rooftop into the bottom floor of Rosymorn Monastery, where you can then take the stairs down to the basement.

Upon entering the basement door, you will now be faced with the entrance to the Githyanki Creche, where several Gith will be stationed outside, guarding the area. The Ring of Arcane Synergy is located on one of these Gith - an individual known as Gish Far'Aag. In this situation, you have two options: you can either attempt to loot the item through the Hide Action and a pickpocketing attempt or take the Gith on in combat and loot the item from her corpse once you complete the battle.

While pickpocketing is an option, this will be hard to pull off, as Gish Far'Aag will interrogate you upon entering the room. If you do not succeed a check, then you will automatically be thrown into combat. In the case that you do succeed in a check, you will then need to find a way to pull off the theft - though this is tricky due to the other Githyanki being in line of sight. For this reason, the quickest and easiest option for securing the Ring of Arcane Synergy is by choosing combat.

Arcane Synergy: Weapon attacks deal additional damage equal to the affected entity's Spellcasting Ability Modifier.

As the Synergetic Cantrips effect is triggered by attacking with Cantrips, but Arcane Synergy requires the use of weapon attacks, you will need to utilize this ring with a strong Half-Caster character who is capable of both combat approaches. In an ideal combat scenario, you would lead with a Cantrip attack and then follow up next turn with physical weapon attacks for the bonus Arcane Synergy.
