Exploring the deepest parts of Grymforge will reward players with various rewards in Baldur’s Gate 3. Additionally, it’s possible to trigger the Help The Cursed Monk quest by obtaining a particular amulet surrounded by lava inside the Grymforge.

How To Trigger Help The Cursed Monk Quest In Baldur’s Gate 3

To trigger the Help The Cursed Monk quest, players must find the Sentient Amulet in Grymforge. Upon reaching Adamantine Forge, head west to X:-569 Y:228 coordinates to arrive at an area surrounded by lava where a Lava Elemental is roaming around.

Head to the central platform where there's a locked chest. There are two methods to open it; either jump to the northern platform and search a skeleton for the key, or use a lock pick to unlock it. Once the chest is open, take the Sentient Amulet to trigger a conversation with the spirit of the cursed monk.

He will try to curse players with laughter, but it’s completely harmless, and you can also try to resist it using the proper skill in Baldur’s Gate 3. It turns out that the cursed monk wishes to meet his granddaughter, Shirra Clarwen, in the Open Hand Temple in Wyrm’s Crossing.

This scenario is avoidable by succeeding in rolling two Wisdom, Constitution, or Illithid options.
