Minthara is an enemy in Baldur’s Gate 3 who can be also made into an ally and companion, depending on the player’s decisions. Being a Paladin from the Drow race, she’s extremely powerful and will surely cause the players issues if they decide to stand against her and her goals.

By defeating her, the player can get their hands on some pretty good loot, notably, the Spidersilk armor, the Boots of Striding, and the Xyanyde.

How To Beat Minthara In The Goblin Camp

Baldur's Gate 3 Minthara

After the player makes their way inside the Goblin Camp, they’ll be able to enter the Shattered Sanctum. This can be done by using stealth, fighting, or by convincing the guards to let them in.

Whatever way the player chooses, they should first head in to save Halsin before wanting to fight Minthara as his powers will help a lot and make the fight a lot less challenging.

After the player fights their way and gets Halsin, Minthara can be found not very far from where he was kept prisoner.

Alternatively, if the player wants to avoid a huge fight, they can one-shot Minthara with one trick. The player can talk to her and give her the location of Emerald Grove, while she’s leaving and walking across the bridge, the player can shoot it down, causing her to plummet to her death. However, the player won’t be able to loot her corpse. Her corpse might respawn outside of the pit after a few long rests, making it possible to loot her.

How To Beat Minthara In The Emerald Grove

After giving Minthara the location of Emerald Grove, she will be found outside of its entrance (the player will have to long rest for this to happen after talking to her).

When there, the player can betray her, or if the entrance of the grove happens to be locked, she will attack the player when she sees them.

The best thing the player can do here is surprise attack her from behind, preferably at a height to give the player an advantage. Though, it will not be easy as she has many Goblins accompanying her.

In this case, the player will want to eliminate the goblins fighting alongside her first to be able to focus on her, especially the archer goblins. Minthara’s ability to heal and cast Hold Person makes her a deadly opponent.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available to play on PC and PlayStation 5.
