That includes the funny, surprising, and often profound quotes spoken by the main character or their companions during cut scenes, fights, or while traveling.

It's not mandatory to speak to the Owlbear cub to rescue and adopt him. He'll show up as long as the party rescues him from the Goblins and will stay as long as you help him with the wound in his foot. His dialogue is an extra perk but it's some of the best in the game.

This is the most memorable line from Astarion's now infamous hissy fit that results when he finds out a doppelganger has infiltrated the camp, the party, or both. Granted, he's got a good reason to panic, as the murderous Orin or one of her loyal cultists could now be anyone.

Players will only hear this quote if Astarion is in the party when Orin appears as one of the party members. She confesses she's kidnapped that companion and has been impersonating them this whole time before giggling and disappearing yet again.

The romance options in BG3 are why this might be the most compelling and re-playable game in the industry's history, and Karlach is one of the most popular choices. She's not only completely open about the depth of her feelings but has a unique way of expressing them, and this quote is one of the best examples.

Players have to make sure they visit Dammon a second time so he can fix her infernal engine before they can see this quote. The night that locks in her love affair after completing part of her quest in Last Light Inn includes a heated confession of her deepest feelings and includes this drool-worthy line.

There are some complaints among players that Tav, the nickname often given to the main character, doesn't talk during dialogue or cut scenes. That's true, but the fact is they have all kinds of prompted dialogue while they're walking out in the wilderness with their party.

This is one of the most common lines players will hear the protagonist saying when they select them to do something. These kinds of quotes are random it gets more quirky and ironic every time. Yes, Tav, that's blood, a whole lot of blood, and it's everywhere.

This quote is prompted when Karlach visits the Baldur's Gate graveyard, so make sure she's in the party to find this line of dialogue. She says this line when the party walks by the graves of her parents and one of them passes a Perception check.

Depending on the protagonist's choices, Karlach explains where this expression came from and what it means. Short for the word potatoes, "taters" was a term of endearment in the Cliffgate household, the same as saying "I love you," but our Fiery friend doesn't remember how it got started.

The Pale Elf gets a lot of attention as one of the most compelling characters in the game when it comes to both his romance and storyline. The credit for creating Astarion and bringing him to life goes to writer Stephen Rooney and voice actor Neil Newbon.

Should Tav allow Astarion to bite them when they find out he's a vampire, he says this line as a way of thanking them, and it deepens their relationship. The quote returns to his unascended resolution, making it even more powerful. When he accepted the award for Best Supporting Performer at the Golden Joystick Awards, Newbon also used the same line in his speech, and anyone who watched the show won't forget it.

It is significant that Scratch would regard the player as a friend as opposed to an owner. There is the scene when he refers to the main character as "master" or "mistress" but it only comes after his trust has been well and truly earned.
